I chose this trip because the ABC islands are really nice to visit. We have been there four times. I also wanted a cruise for a friend who was new to cruising.
In sum:
-food especially the sushi at lunch was good. But the station closed at 1400 and our tours ended just a few minutes past this time. Other lunch stations on the Lido stayed open until 1430.

We choose this ship because of the dates and length of this cruise. We have been on 23 cruises and this was the worst one we have ever been on. Chose this cruise because it covered both Christmas and New Years. Got the Neptune Suite on Deck 4 that has the wrap around balcony because we love sitting outside watching the world go by and the stars a night. I chose this Holland America cruise to avoid the shopping mall atmosphere on bigger ships where passengers need to be constantly entertained. This is a traditional sailing type atmosphere not an amusement park, there are plenty of mega ships that fit that profile.
