Transatlantic that was exactly what I hoped for

My dream was to cross the ocean in comfort during my lifetime. It was all so easy. Our cabin attendant introduced herself right away and explained that for the next 12 days, we were not to worry about anything. We opted for a suite, and indeed the extra space and amenities made a big difference. Thirty-four drawers for storage and two built-in wardrobes. Very pleased how well the A/C worked. Beds ...

A fantastic Transatlantic on the beautiful Jewel of the Seas

This was my first cruise following the pandemic, my last being December 2019. I chose this as I love T/A cruises, so many sea days to savour. I chose the Jewel as I don’t like huge ships, the Jewel is 2500 passengers and there were only 1200 on this cruise! The ship is a delight, so much wood and glass it is beautiful. All areas were sparkling clean and staff were fantastic ...

Always wanted to take Transatlantic cruise. I am glad we did it and with Royal Caribbean. We can't think of any bad experience all the way. All the crew, food and entertainment was excellent. We are already thinking about next cruise with RCI. Starting from check-in and right up to disembarking at Civitivecchia the whole experience was very positive. Had similar experience with every stop ...

This was our second cruise with RCL. We chose the Jewel of the Seas because of the ports of call and it fitted best in our holiday planning. The embarkation and and disembarkation went very smoothly! It was impressive. We landed in San Juan at 10:30 and were on board eating lunch at 12. In Cicitavecchia/Rome our meeting time for disembarkation was 7:15 and we were at the airport at 08:50. I ...

One of the Best Royal Ships we experienced being new Diamond Members

As a New Diamond Member with Royal Caribbean and have done more then 42 Cruises with various companies. We are proud and pleased with the Enterainment on the Jewel of the seas. The " Fly On" acts i think were a lot more presentable and distinguished then the Ships production shows themselves. The Singers and dancers were probably the weakest then most ships. However the ship was BUSY! with tons ...

Transatlantic cruises are our favorite! We choose this cruise because date worked. Turns out it was one of our best cruises (30+ cruises). We flew to San Juan late on Saturday & stayed at airport hotel (very convenient), took taxi ($19 plus tip) and arrived at port around 11am. The port was chaos and porters rude. Demanded tip before they would take bag (this was only negative of our ...

Best transatlantic ever

RCCL offered a very attractive price for this cruise, and we were looking for a smaller ship (i.e., less than 3,000). The Jewel is not new, but it has been kept up well and the public rooms are all very nice and comfortable. The service was outstanding, starting with a very visible and friendly captain from Canada. Everything operated very efficiently and, if something was to our dissatisfaction, ...

Great Cruise!

The cruise was great. The staff was excellent and went out of their way consistently. The ship lacked a quiet room/library and had very little reading material. So make sure you bring your own. There were board games on the ship, but most of them were missing pieces. I was surprised that they don't restock every cruise. The internet service is intermittent, especially when we were in the middle ...

The whole trip was awesome except the Valencia panoramic tour from the ship where the tour guide left me behind only to have to find my own way back by public bus and taxi. RC comment.sorry. My final bill posted on my cabin door was taken from my visa account and then followed up by three pending gratuity charges. Next cruise with them will be cash. The cruise was peaceful and very relaxing. The ...

Great to be back on the smaller ships after being on the Allure and the Harmony. The Jewel was in as good of shape as it was when I was on it when new. Yeah they have eliminated some things, but so have all the others. The food in Chops Grill was great. The waiter/server was the best in the business. The ports were really clean ad had lots of places to see. The excursion to Valencia, ...
