A Transatlantic cruise is a great way to escape the European winter and be away for Christmas. The seas are nearly always calm and after several crossings we have always enjoyed smaller passenger numbers. That means better service and less hustle and bustle.

A) Embarkation: MSC allows passengers to choose a timeframe for embarkation. It was very fast and efficient. We had 11:00 to 12:00, and by 11:40 AM we were already inside our cabin.

I chose this cruise for the Itinerary, the price and the low single supplement.
Embarkation went smoothly, I was lucky enough to be assigned a disabled cabin and it was large, well appointed and clean. My cabin steward, Stanley was excellent.

We chose this cruise because as a retired couple it seemed like a new adventure to get back to the US. Embarcation took 1 hour and 10 minutes. The ship is a cross between Las Vegas and Star Trek. This was a slow way to return to S. America and the ports made this a good choice. The ship was fairly full with guests from Spain, Italy, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Holland, France, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, UK, USA and others. We chose to go on this cruise for a couple of reasons. One reason was we had never been on a Transatlantic Cruise, and two it seemed like a good deal for the amount of time of this cruise.
