An truly outstanding experience

I was astounded to read that MSC have only a 54% passenger satisfaction rating, so was apprehensive when I booked an outside balcony cabin for a 17 night Transatlantic cruise for the bargain price of just £770. My wife and I have cruised twice with P&O who set the bar very high, but we were not disappointed. On the contrary, the MSC experience was better in almost every way. We bought a ...

Interesting and comfortable Line Voyage with quality Italian touches.

Outstanding combination of European and Brazilian ports punctuated by a five day calm Transatlantic crossing was the initial attraction - the value for money pricing was a further benefit. Organisation from embarkation to disembarkation, tendering and service throughout the ship exceeded expectations. Food in the dinning rooms was average but the self serve offering were wide ranging, innovative, ...

We arrived at the dock around 4pm and boarded immediately. Having already familiarized ourselves with the layout of the ship, had no trouble locating our cabin. Met our cabin steward who asked if we needed anything. We wanted extra pillows and those were brought immediately. Discovered our dinner seating was early, though we had booked for later, we went to the dining room to change to late ...

MSC Orchestra - The worst 17 day cruise ever

We did try to find something good to write about this dreadful experience but apart from looking out over the lovely seas that was it! It was 17 days cooped up in a tin can. Toward the end it felt like prison and one person actually kissed the ground when we reached Fort Lauderdale. I stood and breathed a sigh of relief as I was halfway across the elevated walkway. I was back in America where ...

Unwanted relatives

We are not novices to cruising as this was our 39th cruise. We are gold card members of the MSC line. Until this sailing, MSC has been our favorite cruise line. Unfortunately the service made us feel like unwanted relatives on the Orchestra. We have had better and worse embarkations thus nothing worth writing about. It was upon entering the ship our problems began. Our adult son came with us since ...

This Was HORRIFIC!

I was on the Horrific transatlantic sailing. I agree with my co-cruisers...this cruise was the worse. And not getting any better might I add. We have been back 3 weeks and they are still not responding to issues that were present on this cruise. Example being we had damage to luggage that they agreed was their fault. They gave us a loss and damage report from the Chief Officer. Took 2 weeks for ...

Sour Notes from the Orchestra

The ship is new, very nice appointed and well designed. The rooms were very adequate. We enjoyed many hours sitting on the balcony reading and basking in the warm sun. We would have normally spent more time in open common areas but that was a challenge. The ship tonnage is 93,400 and she is designed to carry 3,000+ passengers. Compare this to the Celebrity Solstice at 122,000 tons carrying only ...

Worst cruise in my life

The MSC Cruise line is for the birds. If you plan a cruise DO NOT CHOOSE MSC CRUISE LINES. It is a very boring place to be. The food was terrible-horrible-everything was either undercooked or overcooked....they even screwed up corn flakes (I lived on French fries and tomatoes for 17 days)...... there were no trained crew members everybody was new and spoke very little English if any at ...

The Cruise from Hell

Review for MSC Orchestra to Transatlantic

This was our first cruise on MSC and it will be quite a long time before I consider another one. The Orchestra faced several challenges on the Transatlantic Crossing and has quite a few improvements to make if it is to find a place with the North American Cruise Market. I hope that Ex Celebrity Veteran the new President of MSC Cruises USA will work hard to bring MSC up to the standards that all ...
