Wonderful!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We chose this cruise for a family Christmas holiday and prior to leaving I became very anxious after reading all the negative reviews. We had an amazing week on board a beautiful ship and not one of our group of seven had any complaints. Embarkation was the quickest and most efficient I have experienced. It was as quick as boarding as a Yacht Club passenger which we have done in the past. ...

Embarkation was very smooth. We did have the Aurea Package which meant we basically just walked right on. We waited till noon to get to the port and we were on the ship within 30 mins of being dropped off by the taxi. Our cabin was amazing we had the duxplex suite. The layout was great. We were upstairs so my husband and I had privacy but we were never more than an earshot from our young ...

I wanted to try MSC but had not read many reviews. This was a new ship (sailed Nov 2017), and the itenirary was right. We booked a balcony aurea. Room was tipical of cruise ships, shower was better due to glass door. Closet space was the smallest we have encountered. We dont stay in cabin to much so it was OK. Food was ok but not excellent, except sweets which we thought were the best part ...

On arrival onboard there is a huge hard sell line of touts that surround you as you walk through calling out to you to buy all their extra packages and shoving their ads in your hands. Very difficult to ignore or say no which is what they want. Market place buffet restaurant is massively overcrowded, noisy, uncivilised and impersonal. Have to push and grab for everything. Should be split into ...

We've just returned from the Meraviglia, taking our children and grandchildren. Over the last few weeks I have been reading these reviews and getting more and more anxious, to the pointing of considering cancelling and losing a lot of money. But we decided to go for it .. and I am so pleased that we did, as many of the reviews I read do not equate with what we experienced. I found the ...

First time on MSC a home-run

Intriqued by the Mediterranean itinerary, the Yacht Club ship-within-a-ship, the bargain pricing AND the program that matched our Princess loyalty status, we couldn't be happier with our experiment. We have already booked the new MSC Bellissima for the same itinerary in 2019. Highlights? *absolutely gorgeous and easy to navigate ship that is downright lively with great shops, parties and ...

after reading mostly bad reviews before we sailed on this ship we were a bit concerned especially regarding the food , however although food did not come up to the standard and choice of our previous cruises on NCL, there was always something tasty to eat in the buffet and the main restaurant. Portions were small in main restaurant as mentioned in other reviews , but all you have to do is order as ...

After 30 cruises we decided to try MSC cruise line for our first cruise with MSC and their Flag Ship. This is the first review I have made and feel I must as very disappointed with everything apart from the decor but it is a brand new ship so it should be. Main points Worst food on a ship, no complimentary water, no tea and coffee after dinner Choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 ...

Horrible Cruise... I am still shocked; never again on MSC

the ports sounded very interesting, and the new ship and our first time on MSC. There were too many children on this line. I felt like I was on a Carnival Cruise x 2. The staff was not trained, and they had sad faces and did not know much of anything. The buffet was a total disaster with the amount of people. Most were very rude, and a lot of pushing and shoving around. The dinner was ok ...

After reading all those bad reviews i was pretty worried. It was our first cruise and we went with a 2,5 year old son.We chose this ship, because they claim to by family friendly and they have designated areas for kids to play. After the cruise I have to say that this cruise has a great potential but our vacation did not fulfill our expectations. The problem of the ship is the staff and the ...
