Good Cruise

Good Cruise but major work needed on embarkation and disembarkation. The current processes while in port are cumbersome and lead to long lines and long waits to return to the ship. One of the re-embarkation security stations actually brought cruisers back on board in the middle of Crooners Bar. Security stations when returning to the ship are undermanned with the line stopping each time ...

I chose this cruise because I wanted to do a Trans Atlantic Crossing. The crossing was fun and relaxing at the same time. The cruise staff were outstanding. I enjoyed the food very much. There was always a great selection and something for everyone. We dined at the steak house which was very good and I would do this again. Our ports of call were amazing. We stopped in Madeira Portugal, ...

Good cruise - Cartegena was the big wonderful surprise.

Overall Cruise was great, Staff was, as usual, friendly and helpful. The ship needed a little more time in dry dock. Water ( no hot), and flushing of toilets was an annoying problem. You took all the blankets off the ship! . I hate duvets for the beds and our steward could not give us light blankets!! Internet was very troublesome and slow with bad connections. The walking tour in ...

Excellent ports of call, but ship's condition was disappointing.

The ship was brought into service, directly from a week of dry dock repairs, and it was pressed into service before the repairs were completed. We waited two hours in the terminal for embarkation to commence while last minute, crucial repairs were conducted. In addition, there were engineers and technicians all over the ship running cables, installing carpet, grinding metal, painting, and making ...

Cruise to the Mediterranean on the Crown Princess

We've wanted to do another transatlantic cruise and also wanted to go to the Mediterranean. This was the perfect situation. Since the ship had just returned from dry dock and had some ongoing issues with maintenance while we were sailing, it wasn't a trip without some problems onboard. For example, elevators out of service sporadically and operation was occasionally unreliable. We were stuck on an ...

Bad weather didn't stop us.

Enjoyed this cruise in spite of some times bad weather. Mother Nature will do what she will do, no matter how much you may wish otherwise. We were expecting warmer weather than we got in the Mediterranean, but we soldiered on. The ship was an older lady than some and not always the easiest to maneuver, but the staff was nice and helpful and the Captain kept us apprised of any upcoming bad ...

Great value for the price

We chose this cruise because it had ports we were interested in, plus between the on-board credit and free gratuities you could not beat it. The other reason I am writing is the previous review I feel was way too biased. It is true that this class of ship had two decks of cabins added from a previous class without any additional space in the theater or the buffet. This sometimes makes the ...

Enjoyable Cruise, Great Way to get to Europe

This was our first transatlantic cruise, second on this ship, third with Princess, and seventh cruise overall. Because we enjoy at sea days and onboard activities, this cruise was a lot of fun. Many people asked us how we keep from getting bored on the long passage. It was much the opposite, we sometimes had to choose between several good options of things to do. Put it this way: We ...

Some hits, some misses

Let me say first that Crown Princess is simply a beautiful ship, and very comfortable, too. On the other hand, I'm not in love with the floating hotels all the cruise lines offer now. Most of our previous cruises were on ships of half this size, and the largest ship we'd been only previously was around 2,000 still much smaller than Crown, which accommodates 3,000 (although there were only 2,650 ...

I love Princess Cruises, I really do, but there is always room for improvement. I think that rather than saying how beautiful the ship was and how appetizing the food was (which both are true) that I should maybe critique areas that could use improvement. (1) the mattresses are in dire need of being replaced. The have been sat on, and the edges are sagging and give the feeling that you will ...
