I am a Brit so the fact that I was disappointed with the food was down to that a,though some Americans said the same. Aside from that it came up Luke warm in the restaurant. So saying there was more than enough if you liked it! The cabin was lovely but the information announcement did not feed into the cabin. Sometimes it was a good thing but when it was embarkation announcements you couldn't ...

This was my fourth cruise on Carnival and fifth overall; I sailed with my sister, who is retired due to medical issues. We drove down from Atlanta before the cruise and used a "stay-cruise-park free" option at the Quality Inn FLL South in Dania Beach. As promised, parking and the port shuttle were free (BOTH directions) with one night's stay...a great deal! We were both pleased with the ship and ...

Great Time with Family

Embarkation was quick even though there were long lines. Disembarking was relaxing because they did not force you to leave the ship or your cabins early. To get thru customs took about an hour. The ship is not attractive but was clean. Muster drill is still held on deck. The food was average, nothing to rave about but nothing really bad. We had 3 issues with our cabin and our great steward had ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Ok, so my wife and I booked this cruise in July for our Honeymoon. I was particularly drawn to the fact that I'd never sailed a southern Caribbean yet, the great price, and that the Freedom had recently been refurbished. I'll start by saying that I am not a complainer by any means and recognize how lucky I am just to be on a vacation where I get waited on hand and foot. Embarkation, we arrived at ...

Would like to start off by saying this is my 11th cruise with Carnival and my first time on the Freedom. Will try to be as detailed as possible as even though I have cruised alot I still get a little of useful advise from reviews and forums. Flew in from St.Louis to Fort Lauderdale the day before the cruise. Stayed at Hyatt Pier 66 on 17th St, luckily I won't have to base the whole trip on this ...

The freedom to do absolutely nothing but relax on the Freedom

Another enjoyable CCL cruise!!! BACKGROUND: My wife and I are both retired and “lucky” to be Platinum level. We try to visit at least one new POC on every cruise or at least cruise on a ship that we haven’t been on before. We hadn’t been to St Kitts and never cruised on the Freedom so this was a “two-fer” for us. I’ve given letter grades for each component I reviewed. ARRIVAL + FORT LAUDERDALE: ...

Wife and I just got off the Carnival Freedom eight days Southern Caribbean, to La Romana, Grand Turk, Aruba & Curacao, and here's our observations, while still fresh. Hope you enjoy reading this review as much as we enjoyed our cruise ! This was our 12th cruise, spread between Disney, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean, but mostly on Carnival, so we have a fair amount of experience to make ...

Hello all I hope you find this helpful!! PRE-CRUISE: Flew from Dayton to Atlanta to FLL with Delta. Great service no issues at all. Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dania FL. Great hotel with very friendly staff. Room was nice and clean. No issues. My only complaint here was the breakfast. It was 13.00 for crappy food. Only had 3-4 hot items. Not worth the money. Surrounded by some food places ...

Eight Great Days!

We spent the night before the cruise at the Rodeway Inn and Suites. It's not a fancy hotel, but they seem to specialize in getting cruisers to and from the port and they let you leave your car at the hotel for $10 a night. At 10:15 in the morning they shuttled us the short distance to the port and we were getting to cruise. The embarkation process was pretty quick and we had about a thirty minute ...

Departed from Port Everglades, Sept 6th for a 9 day cruise. Boarding was an easy process but the terminal is a no frills affair. Being a longer cruise we had 2 formal nights which was very nice. Additionally, on the sea days they offer a really nice "Brunch" in the Posh Dining Room. It was very very good. I always got the steak and eggs and both were cooked to perfection. We found the dining room ...
