Sailibration 50th Anniversary/Birthday Cruise
"Let's start off on a positive note with what we liked: The Good: - This ship was spotless (surprise) - it sparkled and staff was constantly cleaning and keeping everything tidy and clean.Kinda of pricey for a Carnival Cruise but we decided to keep our expectations low and in line with what one can reasonably expect from Carnival...."Read More

This ship should be turned into a reef

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Vagabond Knight

Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...

Too many issues

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

This was our third Transatlantic cruise with Carnival and by far the worst. If this had been our first Carnival cruise we'd never set foot again on a Carnival ship. The cruise got off to the worst possible start and never really recovered to an acceptable level. It started on a sour note with Embarkation and finished on a sour note with Disembarkation, the bit inbetween was only slightly ...

Dirty Ship food lacking

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

I am surprised by how bad the food is and the ship is dirty. The staff are good but seemed to be trained not to give bigger than a child serving for the Buffett. The prime rib a few nights ago turned out to be a few bites of beef. They cut such small bite size pieces I felt bad for the carver. Awful. Just ruined a good prime rib why bother?? This will be my last cruise on Carnival. I really used ...

Final Freedom before the Fix

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

10+ Cruises • Age 40s

We went on the last Freedom cruise before her dry dock in Barcelona to get her fins fixed. We had a great cruise. The boat is a bit older, very similar to the Liberty (almost identical) but very easy to navigate, in great shape, great staff and a clean ship. The atrium always had good music and events. The musicians were excellent with a great selection of music. The cruise director, Andy, was my ...

Unexpectedly Awful!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Just got off 5 night cruise on Carnival Freedom to the Bahamas, and a lot has changed since we went on the Freedom last year. We loved it so much last year we went again, but the food and service were horrible this time. Had a balcony room again but this time the light didn't work and we were told that it couldn't be fixed, so we opened the curtains for some light out there at ...

Queens 1st Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

I chose this cruise because of pricing, amount of days traveled and destinations. It was a five day cruise. Three days on the sea and two days spent at the destinations (one day at each destination). Embarking was better than debarking. The television show choices need an immediate upgrade. The movie channels (two or three) were subpar. I understand having channels to promote the cruise ...

Carnival Freedom DO NOT BOOK THIS SHIP

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Freedom cruise from 8/5 - 8/10 We just got home from our first ever Carnival cruise and it will also be our last.  We had the most miserable trip of our lives. This was our 14 year old sons first cruise and it was a total waste of our money. We paid for priority boarding and got our luggage long after people who did not have priority. We paid for the soda package for our son but would have ...

All the services that we received was awesome from the cooks, servers, housekeepers, and even the people that checked us in for the cruise. But I would like to thank four people who went above and beyond Maaressi, Vijay, Sahip, and Ketut these guys were amazing and hope to sail with them again. Next time i cruise I will ask if they are on my cruise ship. Great cruise and great people. Every ...

my brother booked. This cruise was a guys only retirement gift for both of us. I would never have booked carnival, but my brother was platinum status so I let him go ahead with it. buffet food was somewhere between prison, food and high school cafeteria quality. The buffet was terrible and the only option for lunch. They had some food court type kiosk, but the wait was unbearable. The main dining ...

Very dissatisfied

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Freedom

My wife and I have been cruising for about 15-16yrs now and have taken at least 13-14 cruises. We’ve been mostly on the NCL, Royal and Disney lines with many amazing and fun memories. We booked this cruise in 2019 before the pandemic made a mess of everything. We were given a deadline to take the cruise in order to take advantage of the cabin credits and to avoid losing our paid fair. So we ...
