We chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary. It was an advertised cruise through a local travel agency, and we had never used an agency before, nor had we cruised with this line before. We chose this cruise for the wonderful itinerary. Our 4 day stay in Copenhagen before boarding was great and we would love to go there again. Tip for visitors: museums are closed on Mondays. Getting on the ship was an ordeal with lines snaking out the doors and people jumping lines and long waits of over an hour to check in.

We knew what to expect when booking the 2017 edition of Royal. The food and service are now mediocre and bear no resemblance to the Royal of a bygone era. However, the itinerary was fabulous, including 4 days in Iceland.

Because 3 of us 4 were diabetics we need to eat at the same time each evening. We were told that our time would be 8:30. Unacceptable to us. We were concerned that the Vision would be so small that we would be bored to tears on a 16 nt cruise, but we were happily surprised. Hubby missed an indoor movie theater and a basketball court, but we enjoyed how easy it was to navigate the ship.
