We went on our first Alaska cruise September of 2021 when the Celebrity Millineum had only 600 passengers - (first cruises after Covid). It was great with less people, but some places were closed due to covid like Canada. We decided to return to Alaska this May, as it is easy to travel there living in the Northwest. The ship was most likely at full capacity this time. Our only problem was ...
I decided to take the plunge and book a cruise to Alaska as my first cruise ever. Glad I did. I didn't mind the ship was older. I don't need all the fancy "bells and whistles". My room was clean. I liked all the activities provided. Food was good. Loved all the excursions that I did. Loved all the ports that the ship stopped at. I'd book another cruise with celebrity! Everyone on ...
This was our 5th cruise with Celebrity and second one on Eclipse. We are in our eighties and have cruised 18 times. This was a cruise Honolulu to Vanvouver:
All the information is likely on the Celebrity web site but navigating it is not done intuitively. For example it took me a while to find the date to complete the check-in and when to expect eDocs. There is no real way to avoid doing ...
This cruise was planned pre shut down for my mother and I as she loved Alaska cruises. Unfortunately she passed before we could sail, so we turned it into a family sail. We once again all had a fantastic time. I traveled with my Wife and two sons (15 and 21), the youngest having autism, we are all seasoned cruisers, most sailings with Celebrity.
Embarkation was a bit hectic as there were 3 ...
I've been on other AK cruises with Holland and Princess, but we decided to try Celebrity this time. The AK cruise is easy from Northern CA, at least it was before Covid. This time we flew to Seattle 2 days early, because there have been so many delays on airlines. We stayed one night in Tacoma and one night in the Belltown area of Seattle. My 41 year old daughter was traveling with me, this was ...
This cruise was rescheduled from the summer of 2020. This was my 4th Alaskan cruise on the Solstice with previous cruises 2016-2018. I was told there were 2600 passengers on the ship not quite full capacity. We completed all of our onboard information online in advance of the cruise. This was our 7th Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. Embarkation was very chaotic. We arrived at our scheduled time. Our ...
Wow....can't say enough positive things about this cruise. Amazing boat with deluxe finishings.
The entire crew could not have done anything more to ensure we were treated like royalty...Collin our cabin stewart ensured we had wine on ice every nite, Bery in the Martini Bar introduced us to Lemon Drop Martinis, Julia in the Tuscan Grill made perfect meal and accompanying wine suggestions ...
I got a lot of great info from this site before my vacation so I want to try to share my experience and help others as well. This was a twice-rescheduled family cruise (myself and my sister and our parents and spouses) that we were originally going to do in 2020. So happy we finally got to go! My parents, who have cruised before, picked the ship and the itinerary. I have to admit I thought I ...
We choose to go to Alaska, for our 40th wedding anniversary, and our travelling companion was celebrating her 50th as well. Our room attendant Gatot was great. Room was spotless, and he was attentive. Having sailed on her sister ship (Silhouette) in February earlier this year, we did notice that Eclipse is showing signs of wear and could really use a full refresh.
We did eat at both Tuscan ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted something different to our normal holidays , I suppose a bit more of an adventure. Like a lot of people this was our first cruise since the pandemic.
Although The Eclipe is an older ship it still looks good in the main . I believe it was due for a refit a couple of years ago but think that was put on hold .
We were Aqua class as we have been on ...
