We went on our first Alaska cruise September of 2021 when the Celebrity Millineum had only 600 passengers - (first cruises after Covid). It was great with less people, but some places were closed due to covid like Canada. We decided to return to Alaska this May, as it is easy to travel there living in the Northwest. The ship was most likely at full capacity this time. Our only problem was when we embarked. There was an issue with people getting off the ship with their luggage, delaying our 10:30 boarding until about 11:30. There were quite a few people trying to board at that time, causing some unhappy cruisers. Once onboard, everything went very smoothly. Had wonderful service in every area we ate, shopped and slept. We were Aqua so enjoyed Blu (the main reason we did Aqua). Most mornings and nights, there was a line to get into Blu when they first opened. Once seated, the service & food was wonderful. One window in Blu was damaged, so it was hard to view the ocean, but all the other windows were fine. Julia, our room attendant was very efficient and provided us with great service. We enjoyed coffee/tea on 5 (along with all their treats...lemon tarts/coconut cookies...yummy!). Weather was so perfect - no rain and actually brought too many clothes for colder weather that we never wore! Can't complain about that. We had been to most ports earlier, so did not do any excursions except Skagway, since we did not stop there last time. Loved the train ride up to White Pass in Skagway. Beautiful scenic trip - highly recommend. Many did the helicopter rides (we did not) and everyone seemed more than pleased with their excursions - weather was perfect so no excursions were canceled. We enjoyed every day of our cruise and cannot complain about anything. Yes the ship is older, but very clean and comfortable. This is our 23rd cruise - some on other lines, but it was perfect!

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

We were in nice cabin and balcony. Bed was closer to bath - prefer closer to balcony. Only issue was the tv. It was mounted to the wall by the sofa- could not tilt it when in bed - so hard to view. Since we did not watch much tv, it was not a huge deal. We had the fridge emptied of items when we arrived as we did not need beverages that were an extra fee. We had the drinks package, so received 2 bottles of water daily. Also 1 complimentary sparkling wine (need to request). Julia, our attendant, was wonderful and left extra items if requested. She always had room clean and never disturbed us.
