1-10 of 38 La Romana (Casa de Campo) to the Caribbean Singles Cruises Cruise Reviews
Sorry for this being a long review but I tried to cover most of what we did and how we found it.
The holiday started well at the airport, travelling premier class with TUI we were whisked through check in and security, it was the last we saw of our hold luggage until it arrived at our cabin. We were greeted on the plane with a glass of bubbly before take off, we were glad to have booked premier ...
Don't be swayed by negative reviews, we've sailed with P&O, Fred Olsen etc and were a little dubious about this ship but decided to go with it as the itinerary for the caribbean suited us perfectly plus we prefer the smaller ships. Admittedly on embarking the Celebration first impression weren't brilliant but all I can say is the ship's ambience and charm grows on you not to mention the ...
What went well: The flight, crew, and service were excellent, safety was a priority. Transfers were good with no added delay other than the wings being deiced which was acceptable. No hassle, boarding the ship was easy and well managed with the exception of the booker not being aware of 25-night passengers.
The cruise director Gavin Carroll was a joy, he was always smiling and friendly and ...
We have been on the Celebration three times before this cruise.Reading some of the reviews we were apprehensive about the way things had changed since we were on the ship in March 2017. We need not have worried we found that the ship was still as good as before with the same excellent service from all the crew. They really make this ship and cannot do enough for you and they are always ...
We did the 7 day cruise 8 years ago as a sampler (our first cruise - Thomson Dreams) along with a 7 day beach stay. Decided on 14 days this time (our 6th cruise)
Perfect flight and transfer to liner. Upgraded to deluxe cabin (No.230) well worth it. Food and service is top class. Anyone who complains is probably a habitual complainer.
However, we did take out the All Inclusive drinks ...
We chose this cruise as it offered good value for money (food, drinks and tips included) and also offered 5 island visits. We weren't expecting a lot of luxury but were pleasantly surprised about our whole experience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The service in the restaurants was great and the food really good. The choice, presentation and service were all excellent. The ...
This is our sixth cruise on-board the Celebration, the first being 10 years ago. Yes we will agree that the ship is getting a little old, however, the refurbishments to the ship, made over the period we have enjoyed here, are significant and have made a huge improvement to our enjoyment. Let's go from the start. Our luggage was taken from us at Manchester Airport, and the next we saw of it was in ...
My husband and I were due to take this cruise at Christmas and New Year but was called for replacement hip surgery so we put it back until mid February by which time he was doing extremely well.
I had upgraded our cabin to deck 8 (bridge deck) and also took the all inclusive drinks package at £798 so, all in all, this was not a cheap cruise. However, once on board we were invited to upgrade ...
Before the cruise I read a lot critical reviews about Costa but I just thought that Americans are to demanding and as an European I can manage with European customers and service. I was totally wrong. We have cruised before e.g. Princess Cruises and have loved every second. This time was different.
Ok, I have to admit that the ship seemed quite nice and cabin was also proper and clean. For ...
We took this cruise for two reasons: the great itinerary (initially 6 port stops in 6 days, although the last one in St. Maarten was cancelled after the Sept. hurricanes), and the fact that it was one of the only cruise ships departing from the Dominican Republic where we were spending 3 more weeks on this trip. All-in-all, we weren’t disappointed. We expected that the other passengers would be ...
