This is a new cruise that Norwegian is testing. Starts in Dominica Republic, goes to 14 islands in 14 days, southern swinging up eastern back to Dominica Republic. It’s on the Norwegian Sky. Older, smaller ship but refurbished a few years ago. Because it’s a smaller ship, able to get into smaller islands. Only one tender to a private island. Lots of beaches, lots of cultural experiences and some days just wandering around on our own. This was by far the best Caribbean cruise we have taken. The ship is small. No water slides or race tracks. But great music and fabulous shows by their production staff. Service was great. Same old Norwegian menu. But many of the port stays were from 8am to 4:30pm, so lunch was on the island. Two ports had stays until early evening, so we had dinner on shore. Make your reservations in advance. Best botanical garden was on Guedelupe. This trip gave us a nice preview of these many islands. We are planning to go back to St. Lucia for their jazz festival and the over to Tortola for a week. Give this curse a try! Ok, in my ratings, you will see a poor rating for cabins. Balconies are the smallest I’ve seen. But you are so busy at the ports each, who cares.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Older ship, so cabins are small, but refurbished.
