Carnival Norfolk Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Noisiest experience of our lives!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Carnival Magic

Chose this cruise because we could drive to the starting point. At the very beginning we were assaulted with ear splitting music in the lobby where arriving passengers were held. Everything Carnival did in terms of music or announcements was at 1000 decibels. The Southern Lights dinning room was as loud as a middle school basketball game and the food was only ordinary, The Lido Deck food was far ...

8 day out of Norfolk Va. parked car with asphalt lots ( park air) in Chesapeake. Brad was very easy to engage for info. Vans started running early and took traffic headache away. Terminal easy and friendly folks to get onboard , maybe 25 min with a 1135 boarding time. Food. Nothing special. Outback better than steakhouse the one night we went. Guys burgers good and busy. Guys bbq- expected much ...

We cruised on the Carnival Magi sailing on Aug. 5, 2023 out of Norfolk, Va.. We had not cruised on a Carnival ship in a number of years but decided to take this cruise because it was reasonably priced and it sailed out of Norfolk, only 3 hours from our house. We drove to Norfolk and arrived at the parking lot at 10:40AM. We got in line for the bus and we were on the ship in an hour. The first ...

A Good Time on a Crowded Magic

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Magic

Carnival Magic was pretty good, I'd give it a B+. We, as a party of 5 (my husband, my brother and his two kids aged 12 and 15) sailed her out of Norfolk to the Bahamas for a six night cruise. It was well-priced and easy enough to get to. Embarkation took about 45 minutes to an hour, from parking the car to shuttling to the terminal and checking in. There was a long line once parked to load the ...

Carnival did nothing special, but some of the friends made during the trip was worth it.

We, as newly weds, went on this cruise for our honeymoon. The captain did a good job dodging most of the storms in the area which I'm very thankful of. Cabin was standard ocean view with a pretty good attendant in Gede. Food service was attentive albeit very slow. I'm told by some of my fellow travelers that they were going and hour without even being acknowledged. I'm also not a fan of the ...

Wanted a nice get away to the Bahamas. The cruise itself was great! Lots of options, Great Food (I’m picky too) and many options for kids but…. How about no AC in your room for 4 days, until they fixed it even after calling guest services about it. The fridge in the room wasn’t working either so the water and beer in the room was pointless Of course the cruise line had every room booked (over ...

Went through VAX screening and guy we had said hubby just made it with his shots. Look again buddy, that was his booster. These are the people who are checking us in??? Got through screening and went to cabin to drop carry on and then to muster station to see how to click the belts on the lifejacket. We were on early and ate a light lunch. Self serve in buffet and NEVER saw ...

Not very family oriented

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sunrise

I chose Carnival Sunrise because it left from Norfolk and was an easy departure point as I was taking my entire family on the cruise. It was the first cruise for many of them; so their first cruise experience. I have sailed Carnival before and have enjoyed the experience. I can not say the same for this trip. I had high expectations since I had heard so much hype about the renovations and ...

Embarkation was horrible. See previous reviews. Took us 2 1/2 hours . Cabin: Spa Balcony Who in the heck was our steward? No one spoke to us for 7 days. The room was serviced in the morning. No robes - had to ask someone in the hall who said she was too busy to get them. The next day some old sort of damp robes were delivered. There was no soap, or shampoo in the cabin. Glad I brought ...

•Background information- This was my 26th cruise - my third with Carnival. I had my 79th birthday on the cruise. I use a mobility scooter because I can't walk far or stand for long. My partner was a younger woman friend. It was her first cruise. We went to Nassau, Amber Cove, Dominican Republic and Grand Turk. This cruise had really high winds and rough seas a majority of the time that ...
