Wow - Food quality bad!

Well Carnival has definitely been saving money on the food offerings on the Dream. The steak restaurant was so disappointing! We took the Panorama last December and our meal in their steakhouse was one of the best meals ever. I guess they're trying to recoup lost money from Covid. Also the main dining room food was just mediocre; you can get the same food in the buffet and not have ...

Overall it was a good cruise. It's been awhile since I have cruised with Carnival and note that there have been some changes primarily with the overall food quality has dropped some, but still some good things available. Guys burgers are not the same as I remembered. The wait staff in dining was doing their best, but really had too many tables to serve. Sea day brunch was slow. I didn't ...

My husband and I had cruised once before on carnival. We wanted to try cruising with our boys 17 and 13 to see if they liked it with the goal of doing a European cruise next summer. This cruise I booked prior to covid and have rebooked and rescheduled many times. The food and service is exceeded expectations. We ate breakfast and dinner in the dining room all but a couple of times. There were ...

One of the best family vacations we've ever had!!

First of all I have to say the service was great anywhere we were on the ship! The host MarkQue was so spontaneous, interactive and funny! He really kept the party jumping all over the ship! From the announcements, to the deck parties, to hosting the shows, MarkQue deserves to be recognized for the outstanding job he does! All of the shows we watched were very entertaining and well preformed! The ...

Overcrowed, Covid-Clustered, No Working Air

While the crew were kind and gracious, this simply could not make up for the lack of functional air conditioning for DAYS on end and the fact that the ship was absolutely packed so there was no relief from the sweltered overcrowding. I am from Arizona - so I was looking forward to a COOL, ocean vacation. This simply did not happen with this ship. Moreover, due to the number of people on board, ...

My Carnival Dream Experience

Do not get me wrong, I ENJOYED my 6 day cruise on the Carnival Dream. However, Carnival does compete with "land side" vacations that I perfer to enjoy simply on 1 ISSUE. I want choices ALL DAY LONG on where to eat. At dinner time, If I want Guys Pig and Anchor.....I want Guys Pig and Anchor and if I want a sit down lunch in the main dining hall....thats what I want and can get "Land ...

Understaffed!!!

This was one of our worst cruises, of our 26 cruises on Carnival. Embarkation was a Zoo! As Platinum, we were in group “A01” for boarding (first after Diamond and Suites). However, the staff called A01, followed by the next FIVE groups within a minute. This caused a mad rush for the entry stations. When we got onboard, we went directly to our Muster Station, as request by staff. However, no ...

Last minute cruise

We typically cruise on Princess (10 times) and Royal (4 times) but saw a very cheap last minute cruise so we drove to Galveston to check out Carnival since it has been over 10 years since we tried Carnival. For sure the best thing about this cruise were the food options. I tried all the free options. The Buffet is NOT the main feature on this ship and lunch has more options than dinner. -Pasta ...

We decided to take a cruise for our Honeymoon and I am so glad we did. This was my 1st cruise and my husbands 2nd cruise. We had a great time dressing up for formal dining and the 80's rock & glow party. We went to see 3 of the 4 comedians on board and only laughed at one of them. One was so bad that us and several others walked out after about 10 minutes. Most of the food was good, but the buffet ...

Covid Protocols did not hurt cruising!

I've had so many cruises cancelled since 2020...I really wanted to be on a ship for Halloween so this one got me. We had a balcony cabin (8447). Note that this one connects to another cabin; I think that's why I could hear my neighbor's television (ugh). I know this ship did not sail full; too many deck chairs available on sea days and too many empty tables in the dining room. I heard ...
