Was surprised at all the poor reviews of this ship. We had a wonderful experience.
Middle aged couple with 40+ cruises, Platinum Status on NCL. We love the older ships because they look and feel like actual ships and we tend to avoid the new and glitzy 'floating hotels'. No shade, just a preference.
The ship is 23 years old and clearly a 'training ship'. A lot of staff stated it was their ...
We like to leave out of Baltimore, our kids drop us off so we avoid flying and all those hassles. We went on Grandeur of the Seas, which was very good and Enchantment is even better. We are in our 60's and so looking for a quiet experience with all the other 'grey hairs'. I saw maybe 3 or 4 kids and they must have been bored. It was a wonderful trip for what we were looking for, and the ...
This was our first Canada New England cruise. If we were to do this again... we would definitely not go in late September or October. The weather is to iffy and uncertain. The Lady G was put to the test this trip. First we were 9 hours late leaving Port of Baltimore. We never got a real honest explanation as to why. Non-mechanical some say, whatever that meant. Then she faced a Category 1 tropical ...
Walt Okon =Review of GRANDEUR OF THE SEAS on 5- 14 September 2019 in room Grand Suite #8016
Grand Suite # 8016 is located on the eighth deck, port side (Left Side) of the ship. 1/3 of the way from the bow of the ship. Stateroom Attendant was Dominic Moses. He was excellent in all respects. This room was perfectly clean and set up for us. We use sanitizer wipes on everything and inside every ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, the reputation of the Grandeur and for timing around the end of school. We cruised with a family with two pre-teens with whom we are essentially family and both families live near Baltimore. We arranged private transportation to and from the port due to the party size of six and the amount of luggage. Upon arrival, the Port of Baltimore did itself no ...
My wife and I just got back from a cruise to New England and Canada. This was our first trip there, our 3rd on Grandeur and our 7th cruise on Royal Caribbean.
Itinerary had us on a 9-night trip, but Hurricane Michael ended up tweaking that schedule.
This is a little long, but hopefully helpful …
First, due to the storm, we were directed to report early to the ship for a 2 pm departure ...
We booked this NE and Canada 9-night cruise (as well as the following 5-night to Bermuda) because the Grandeur is our favorite ship. We sailed on it in Oct. 2015 and again in Feb. 2016, but with other cruises booked this was the first time that we'd had a chance to sail on it since it'd gone to drydock in 2016. Although we could not see many changes (except for the seating in the Great Gatsby ...
My husband and I have been to Bermuda and the Caribbean so many times, this was our first to Canada and New England. Since it was our first, we were so looking forward to this cruise. Imagine our disappointment when the cruise was ultimately changed from 9 nights and 5 ports to 5 nights and 1 port. Many people cancelled and took Royal Caribbean's generous compensation package. But we really ...
We chose this cruise for the ports in New England. We had not been to this area of our country and wanted to see several with the bonus of Canada. The ship is nice and entertainment was great. I would have liked to see more arts and crafts besides scrapbooking ?? because I do not gamble. 9 days is a long cruise so we need more entertainment during day time for the arts. Room was comfortable and ...
Pros: Awesome experience for our first RCL cruise. Service, food, accomodations, staff and ports of call were excellent and would highly recommend. Arranging shore excursions was easy. Those excursions and guides were extremely knowledgeable about their content.
Entertainment /shows was "top shelf". We chose this cruise for two reasons: first, our 44th wedding anniversary and second because it ...
