We wanted a family cruise. So we chose the carnival legend. The food selection was absolutely minimal. There was not many choices to chose from and everything we ate gave us diarrhea the whole entire time. And several other people in the boat dealt with the same issue. We went through a storm and in the midst of that, two rooms had their balconies fly completely off! The ship is very outdated. The ...
Overall it was a good cruise. A fair balance of port days (4) vs. days at sea (5). Food was always good (4/5), and service was exceptional (5/5). Embarkment and disembarkment were both smooth and extremely fast (ie. Only 20mins from our group’s calling on-board, down to our car at the port’s parking lot). The RC crew made it special, and memorable for my entire family (from our servers, to ...
We chose the specialty dining experience onboard, and spent most of our lunch and evening meals spread throughout Chops, Izumi, and Giovanni's. For us, it was important to escape the crowds and practice safer dining habits than found in the Windjammer, MDR, etc. We were well taken care of at every interaction in specialty dining, welcomed like family, and immediately recognized and treated with ...
After experiencing the horrors on Carnival Magic last year, I was hoping for a much better experience with Carnival. Thankfully, this cruise experience did the trick in an overall very good way!
The ship got delayed in arrival since they got caught in a nor'easter off of South Carolina, so embarkation unfortunately got push-backed by 1 hour. However after the delay, the embarkation process went ...
I chose this cruise as a way to see how much my new medical problem would affect my having fun. As it turned out, it basically had no negative effect on what I could do, so I'm good for the future!
Embarkation went very well. This particular ship's lay out was mostly easy to navigate. My inside cabin was quite stark in appearance, but since I only use it for sleeping, it was no big deal. The ...
arriving at port and parking was so easy. Boarding was very very quick and barely no line or waiting arround. The food at the buffet was more limited than before.Main dining room menu was very small and limited. Previously the was always a chicken dish, steak and a vegetarian options are ok limited... But some days were better than others... The wait staff of mikhail and iwayan were Both very good ...
This was my 41st cruise and 13th on Royal Caribbean. I traveled with my husband and 2 adult daughters. We are from Long Island and Manhattan. This was the May 11th 9-night sailing to Bermuda, Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
I highly recommend this cruise! But you need to keep everything in perspective. Because while this ship lacks “things,” it more than makes up for it in “people” – ...
My wife and I enjoy the convince of the Port of Baltimore as well as the atmosphere of the smaller ships. The boarding process was quick and easy. Royal Caribbean changed our boarding time from 1030 to 1130 to allow more time to prep the ship. We booked a Junior Suite on the 8th deck near the rear of the ship. I would recommend that you don't book this room if noise bothers you. We thought by ...
Was the ship too small? The food not good enough? The service lacking? Entertainment not exciting?
Let's break it all down after a 9-day Bermuda, Nassau, and Perfect Day at CocoCay cruise aboard Vision of the Seas.
Starting with the ship overall - it was in fantastic shape for its age. Minimal signs of rusting, though we heard from folks with balcony cabins that the divider hinges had rusted ...
