After experiencing the horrors on Carnival Magic last year, I was hoping for a much better experience with Carnival. Thankfully, this cruise experience did the trick in an overall very good way!

The ship got delayed in arrival since they got caught in a nor'easter off of South Carolina, so embarkation unfortunately got push-backed by 1 hour. However after the delay, the embarkation process went on smoothly. Us Platinum members received fanny packs as a thank you gift for being loyal. WOO, much better than the can holders!

Meals in the buffet overall were very good. The main offerings ranged from very tasty to bland. Same is said for the desserts, but NONE of the offerings were undercooked or unedible. The Deli sandwiches, Asian offerings, and of course, Guy Fieri's burgers were down-right superior. Breakfast in the buffet was excellent thanks to the omelettes, but keep in mind that hash browns and bacon (given ONLY by servers) are only offered on certain random days.

Cabin Review

Balcony (obstructed views)

Comfortable cabin, but with an adjoining door to the next door neighbor. No noise insulation.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Lovely port, but pool area can get extremely crowded if another larger ship is in port.

Grand Turk

Gotta love Margaritaville! We were the only ship docked, therefore our experience was excellent!

Half Moon Cay

Tender boat operation was smooth, and the island was beautiful. Nothing negative here.
