Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Let's start with the things that the Regent Seven Seas Explorer gets right: 1. The ship was phenomenal! From its size, number of passengers, decor, variety of restaurants, spa, room service, two pools, free laundry service, bathroom (specifically the huge shower and soaking tub, 2 vanities) and our spacious balcony - these things were all wonderful. 2. Staff...the sheer number and the ...

We were expecting the best ever cruise and our personal experience is as follows: The good things: - The ship is beautiful, fairly new and nicely appointed. - The dining and room staff are great and will do anything for you. - The itinerary of our 17 day cruise from Bali to Hong Kong was well thought out and perfect for us. - The whole ship is clean and tidy. - The rooms are well ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Encore

I took the 10 day Gems of the Java Sea cruise on the Seabourn Encore on March 12, 2018 with a group of friends. We selected Seabourn as two of our group have cruised many times with Seabourn and raved about their service and quality. Unfortunately, I had a very uneven experience with Seabourn both on the cruise, in the pre-cruise interaction with land based staff and the Seabourn website, and in ...

We wanted to see Bali and the Komoto Dragons. The Encore is only 6 months old,a real pretty ship, staterooms are quite large, double sinks in bathroom, big screen tv,good size balconies. If you are new to Seabourn, the Seabourn Square is a new concept on deck 7, this where the reception and shore excursions are booked, they don't tell you this, you have to figure it out yourself. The gourmet coffee and ...

Not So Amazing, Bali to Osaka

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Quest

With a couple of dozen cruises under our belts, seven of those on Azamara Journey, we had a fair knowledge of "good" and "not so good" staterooms and booked 4030 (low deck, midships in anticipation of the South China Sea) well in advance with a NO UPGRADE instruction to our TA. STATEROOM(S) 4030 booked but "upgraded" to 6067 and subsequently to 7098 The first night we had virtually no ...

Azamara Quest is Definitely NOT a 5.5 Star ship.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Quest

My wife and I have just returned home from a Christmas/New Year cruise and I would like to provide you with some feedback about the Azamara Quest. Azamara Quest is classed as being 5.5 star; believe me, it is most certainly nowhere near that. We have travelled on most cruise lines and we know what’s 3, 4, 5 and 6 star. We had an Ocean View cabin and it was nowhere near adequate. It was way too ...

Falling standards

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Azamara Quest

Just returned for Indonesia / Australia cruise on the Quest. We have been on Azamara several times and have previously been very satisfied. However, it was very noticeable on this cruise that the standards had dropped. The staff are still absolutely first class but they are being denied the tools to work with. As with other contributors, we noticed that the standard of the food had ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Quest

This was our 7th cruise with Azamara, and by far the most disappointing. The ship is tired and well overdue the overall planned refurb within the next few months, but that was what we expected. The ports were very much as we anticipated but Lombok, Thursday Island and Cooktown are really not geared up to visitors. We enjoyed Darwin, with the exception of the Azamazing evening, Port Douglas ...

Not quite up to our expectations

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Azamara Quest

As always with Azamara the staff and crew are faultless, the problem was the destinations visited. Azamara moto is we take you where other cruise lines can't, but if there is nothing of interest at those destinations or no the only access is by very pushy island vendors then they are wasted days. Lombok was very dissapointing and spent probably 5 minutes ashore. Azamara usually put on coaches ...
