While we have been to Italy before, this itinerary provided stops at places we had not previously visited such as Capri, Amalfi, Syracuse, Messina and Montengro. The crew could not have provided a better experience. From our room steward Gedy to the restaurant team that provided us with a plate of fresh sushi each evening in Windows before heading to the dining room. All special requests ...

Enjoyable Cruise from Venice to Istanbul

Our first time cruising with Azamara. Have cruised with Oceania, P&O, Celebrity, RCL, etc before. Picked up the free transfer from Tronchetto, Venice, it was 55 minute bus ride down to Chioggia, where the Quest was docked. Boarding; was not the smoothest. Everything was done by paper (no computer) with only 3 stations managing the check in process. This took just over an hour. Then ...

After taking around 60 cruises we were interested to see how the cruise would be on Azamara since the buy out from Royal Caribbean The entertainment was the bare minimum with the same 6 singers and dancers every night except for the Azamazing evening. This was a huge disappointment as we all thought we were going to be taken somewhere wonderful but ended up with some folk dancers being ...

First Luxury Cruise…Will It Be My Last?

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Journey

Previously to this cruise, all of my ocean cruises had been on “value” and “premium” lines (RCCL, Carnival, NCL, Celebrity, Princess). I chose this Azamara cruise because the prices for a balcony on this 7-day cruise was only $1675 per person and came with an $800 OBC (per cabin), which isn’t much more expensive than those other lines. (For comparison, the cruise the prior week on same ship was ...

Met expectations in some aspects

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Itinerary appealed to us. Croatian ports and inner passage. We are used to travelling on Princess and Seabourn. We expected something from Azamara that was “in between” but feel we didn’t get it. The food was bland and there was little fish offered as main course on any day. The lunchtime buffet on the final day was outstanding but lunch on other days was not. If you chose to eat light and have a ...

This was our first cruise with Azamara. A short, three day cruise followed with a post cruise package on the Orient Express. (I have not been able to positively verify, but believe this is the first season for a collaboration between the two. It was also the very first of these limited offerings) We arrived in Venice the day before and spent the night at the Hotel Antichi Figure. This is a ...

We wanted to experience Azamara for the first time and we also liked the itinerary which coincided with our anniversary and an opportunity to visit Venice again. Sailing out and back into Venice was an absolutely wonderful experience, to be recommended. We enjoyed all of the stops and it was a great advantage to dock close to the ports in most cases. I gave an average rating for the excursions ...

Good - Not Amazing

This was our first cruise on Azamara since we mostly sail on Celebrity and Princess. We love the smaller ship and the fact that there weren't many children on board (I only saw one). We wanted to go more upscale and chose this cruise for the itinerary (Venice-Croatia-Montenegro-Slovenia-Venice). I'd say this cruise was very good but not amazing. Here are my pros and cons: Pros - Windows ...

Azamara Quest offers a great, small ship experience, with individual, unique events that add to the enrichment of the immersive experience. Great service, great food and wonderful ports of call, combined with a desire to correct any issues whilst onboard, make Azamara one of the best to cruise with. Venice, Kotor, Ravenna, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Koper, were all ports worthy of a visit, and with ...

Azamara provide a truly beautiful experience

The ship is very richly decorated and the staff are highly attentive particularly compared to larger ships. The Varandah stateroom was a pleasure to be in and excellently cleaned and tidiesd regularly. in terms of service I particularly recommend two Ukranians Katerina serving in the cabaret and and Irina in the cafe and a Hungarian, Lazar, in the cafe. The entertainment was superb and the in ...
