Excellent Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

Excellent cruise from Rio to Lisbon. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is upscale-casual: Few men wore sport jackets at any time. Ship was about 3/4 full, with almost all passengers being in their fifties and up. There were no children. Large mix of nationalities (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.). It got a bit rocky towards the end of the cruise and the captain chose to skip the Madeira port of ...

Amazing Wildlife Sightings

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Azamara Quest

We booked this cruise while we were on an Azamara Journey sailing in October. Antarctica had long been on our bucket list and the deal that was offered was too good to pass up. We had debated doing an expedition cruise, but had done one in the Arctic and ended up being totally disappointed. While we didn't step foot on Antarctica during the cruise, we were able to see an amazing array of ...

Great Azamara Quest Staff

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Azamara Quest

We chose this cruise for the Panama Canal experience and the size of the ship. Embarkation was quicker than anticipated as we hit a lull in the arrival of passengers. The disembarkation did not go as well due to an unavoidable delay in tying up. Also, there seemed to be no urgency in getting the luggage off the ship by the longshoremen; there was a lack of signage directing us to the ...

February 2018 Panama Canal

This 17 day trip was a great experience that was made special with our first time going through the Panama Canal. We took our first cruise with Azamara in June 2016 on the Journey out of Athens and enjoyed every moment of it and booked this one while onboard. We have done 9 cruises and are not as experienced as others but we have a daughter who worked on a cruise for a year when she finished ...

Azamara Quest Review Costa Rica 15-25 Jan 2018 This was our sixth cruise with Azamara and it was every bit as good as the last five. We stayed in Hotel Bougainvillea in Santo Domingo, outside San Jose, for 4 days before embarkation. The hotel was set in 10 acres of botanical gardens and had a swimming pool. It was great for bird watching. We took a tour from there to La Paz Waterfall ...

Always a wonderful experience

As a senior, solo traveler I choose Azamara firstly because of the itinerary. and then because it is such a friendly environment. The lectures are varied and really interesting, My last cruises have had a bridge director on board which makes for well organized sea day bridge sessions. I also enjoy the trivia sessions and of course being smaller ships, they are often able to access ports the ...

As this was our 10th Azamara, we were looking at returning to the Quest with great enthusiasm. Our on board experiences again did not disappoint. Other reviews talk about the white nights, Azamazing evening and the like so I don’t see the need to revisit them in this review other than say that the signature events are exciting, anticipated and very much enjoyed. The advantages of the size and ...

Another great Azamara cruise

Going through the Panama Canal has been on my "bucket list." I couldn't think of a better way to cross than onboard Azamara Quest. I boarded Quest in San Diego. The ports we visited were great, including an overnight in Cabo San Lucas, where the AzAmazing Evening was a performance of the "Dance of the Dead" in the Mexican desert. We then went to Zhijuatanejo (Mexico), San Juan del Sur ...

This was our third Azamara cruise, and the best one yet. These ships are beautifully maintained. The crew is top notch, and the food is premium quality. The inclusive fares eliminate most of the nickle and diming that is so irritating on most ships. The Azamazing evening was an outstanding piano concert by a Colombian artist, in an historic theater. Onboard entertainment is limited by the small ...

Beautiful Antarctica

Review for a South America Cruise on Azamara Quest

We were on the Azamara Quest Antarctic cruise 13th January - 1 February 2013. It was a “bucket list” cruise and was our 4th cruise on Azamara and our 3rd on Quest. Our flight from Heathrow to Buenos Aires was uneventful. But then came the worst part, after collecting our luggage the queue for clearing customs was a 2 hour long snaking queue to put luggage through a scanner. We had Azamara ...
