Positives: (1) we were on board within a half hour of arrival to the the pier. Thought Silversea's was a high end cruise line. Veteran cruiser with many trips on Oceania, Princes,and many other lines. First: disappointing customer service. The interior fittings in looked dark and out of style but The cabin decks carpets looked worn. We chose the Half World cruise as a way to escape winter and to get to the Arab countries where we wanted to tour. Quality of crew, except expedition leader, was outstanding...itinerary blasé...naturalists excellent, food outstanding...but knowing what we know now, would not recommend this itinerary to NZ. Fairly uninteresting...ship is outstanding, crew excellent...cabin service outstanding. We joined the Sojourn in LA and disembarked in Taipei at the end of the second segment of the World Cruise 72 days later.
