Having cruised with RCCI since 2002, and now at Diamond membership level, we've noticed the deterioration in quality of service and amenities, however in 2021 we sailed twice on Anthem of the Seas. Even though the ship was only at 25% capacity, we had a pretty good time, the staff were friendly and cheerful and it was very pleasant.
This prompted a decision to sail on Anthem again, to the ...
Chose this one as we had previously been on Indepence of The Seas a few years ago, It made an impression, we thought would be same. How wrong!
Here's a few moans,
Cabin cleaner would knock on the door before 6pm each night asking if wanted cabing cleaning, even though have a magnetic note which is placed outside door to inform him, he even came into cabin whilst we were asleep before 6pm ...
There are many things to do on this ship, from the amazing shows in the theatre, to fun party nights at two70. This ship really has everything. Although it may have been a struggle to find sun loungers during the day, places like the solarium mostly had a few spaces remaining meaning there was a nice place to relax without the noise of children. The food options on this ship are also lovely. Main ...
Wow - our first cruise since the pandemic emerged did not disappoint. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary: Northern Spain (2 ports), Lisbon, 3 Canary Islands and Madeira, places we have never visited before. Anthem is a large ship at 15 decks and about 4500 passengers and is certainly a much different type of ship than the Oasis Class types. Activities aplenty in board. We loved the ...
This was supposed to be canaries but was just Belfast and Liverpool.
This junior suite cabin is directly above the ladies public toilets on deck 5 so if you like to sleep before 2 or 3am don’t book this one.
All I could hear was toilets flushing continuously. Once people eventually went to bed I had the sound of a toilet filling up with water sloshing about until 8 or 9am! Guest services ...
My wife and I really looked forward to this cruise, new ship and new ideas, well we don't think they have got it quite right yet.
If you put 4,000 people on a ship then arrive in port after 7am and decide to leave before 5pm, what are you going to get? everyone trying to eat and its chaos. You can make a ship as big as you like but you must organise to suit large numbers of people all trying to ...
We had a very positive embarkation experience. Pretty seamless and well organised. On board in less than 20 minutes, as a result of online check-in. Highly recommend this method. Very pleased with our cabin....until stepping out on the balcony on deck 6 to find we were overlooking the smoking area. Having taken a lot of time and trouble looking at the deck plans before booking, nowhere was this ...
This was the second time on the Anthem this year. We were on the ship for the maiden voyage in April and couldn't fault anything. We had a great cruise just perfect.
Our holiday in October was a bit different. Embarkation was quick, and the cabin was clean. I noticed that the ship looked scruffy and dirty in some areas. Windjammer restaurant, tables were dirty and food on floor. One day when ...
The Anthem of the seas is a beautiful modern ship its spotlessly clean and has the wow factor the dinning options are brilliant and you eat in a different restaurant every night, don't bother with the supplement restaurants, Wonderland is lovely to look at but its a rather expensive gimmick chops grille very nice but no better than the complimentary restaurants.
Also why has rci decided to put ...
Recently returned from canary cruise, this was our 8th cruise with royal caribbean but first on anthem of the seas.
The embarkation was excellent, fast and stress free.
This is quite a new ship and is very big but easy to navigate your way around.
The big plus about this ship (and every other royal caribbean ship we've been on) is the staff, all staff from bar staff, stateroom attendants, ...
