Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

First time on the Allure. We stick with Royal Caribbean for the points. Our room overlooked the Central Park and you could also look up at the open sky. To me the best of both worlds. We never take evening clothes anymore since we just want everything casual. You cannot go into any of the upscale rest. without long pants for men and we just choose not to do that anymore. You can go into the dining ...

In my opinion, this was the perfect cruise. Itinerary: Day 1 embarkation day 2 Nassau, day 3 Sea, 4 St Thomas, 5 St Maarten, 6&7 sea. Packages: unlimited drinking package. The ship. At the moment it is the biggest ship out there. Info was that it was almost full. Well, it did never feel too crowded: just nice and busy. Ok, you can’t put your mind on 0%, going 30 minutes before a port visit to ...

First ever cruise with a party of 7. It was me, my dh, dd (17), ds (14), MIL, SIL and her partner. Had 3 balcony cabins on deck 12. Allure is amazing! Despite being full the ship is big enough to disperse the crowds. Things we loved were the main dining room, the cabin and balcony, Chicago, Ocean Aria, solarium, sport court for the 14 year old, St. Thomas, St. Martin, the comedy show, our fellow ...

Background: Family of 4, 45 YO Parents, 14 YO son and 12 YO Daughter in 2 staterooms, 9th deck. One Ocean Balcony, another across passageway with window view of Central Park. Hotel info: stayed at the Riverside night before. Was "upgraded" to a better room which only had 1 king bed. self-downgraded to two queens which were in the old part of the hotel with an elevator barely big enough to fit us ...

Allure of the Seas is an AMAZING ship! I recently returned from a Western Caribbean cruise on this ship. I went because I was attending a family wedding on board the ship. I had previously sworn off cruises because I become seasick easily and I find ships to be somewhat confining. I absolutely loved this cruise! I took off my Scopolamine patch (for motion sickness) after one day. because I ...

We loved the ship itself. Lots of fun things to do and see. Chicago was great, as was the Auqa show. Headliner was terrible, and Blue planet was just okay. Our room was awesome and our steward John was fantastic. The ship was super clean. The only down side was the crowds, super pushy, we had a large group from one country that week and the food. The food was subpar. We ate at every pay for ...

We are Diamond members and have taken many RC cruises in the past. We loved the Oasis of the Seas last year so we wanted to try the sister ship, Allure of the Seas. We flew in the day before the cruise and stayed at the Embassy Suites in Ft Lauderdale which was excellent. Next morning we used Embassy's van service to get us to the port around 11:30AM. Check-in was the fastest we have ever had on ...

Just off the Allure today, and back to the cold weather in CT. We had a nice time. This trip escalated a few members of our group to Diamond members for RCCL, which was exciting. We've been on many RCCL cruises. We are not nit-picky and any day at sea is better than a day at home. I'll try to cover the main points without getting into TOO much boring detail. :) Embarkation - We were contacted by ...

This ship is indeed large but with a little pre-sailing planning, we had an enjoyable time. Embarkment was very quick since we had priority boarding/platinum status due to our previous cruises with Celebrity. We arrived at the port at 1100 hrs and were onboard around 1210 hrs. Since we had an idea of the ships lay out we were not overwhelmed when stepping onboard in the promenade area with 5000 ...

Royal Caribbean delivers, with some minor issues

We are now Diamond with Royal, so we have sailed Royal many times. We think that Royal offers the best cruise experience when traveling as a family. In our multi-generational traveling group, Oasis class ships offer many options for all ages. Allure did not disappoint in that regard. An Aquatheatre Suite became available about 6 weeks before sailing. These staterooms are difficult to come by, so ...
