As it was a new ship we thought we would see what it was like. Cabins much smaller than on other smaller ships in the fleet. Our balcony was too small for us to sit on. I chose this cruise due to it's Itinerary and my up until now good experience with Princess - this cruise has changed that! Thought this would be some thing special, it wasn’t.
This was our 6th cruise, we have had some great cruises before.
Firstly, upon embarkation, we found someone else’s suitcase had been left behind in our room, our cabin steward removed it but seemed very confused.
Next day we found a dirty sock caught up in the curtains...yuk, so much for cleanliness.

We wanted to see Australia & NZ is why we booked this. We had been on 2 other Princess cruises, but were smaller ships, and many years ago.
FOOD- I am a vegan & they did accommodate me, although when I booked they had a smoothie bar, but took it out for our cruise. VERY DISAPPOINTED! My husband liked the food & sometimes we waited a long time for dinner.

Our overall impression is one of disappointment. Nothing about the large ship experience can be considered to enhance the customer's enjoyment. Not my first cruise over 300 days in last 5 years. But my first Princess and probably my last. Have cruise Carnival to Cunard and Princess is bottom of the pack. The buffet is a diaster area with cold food and a collection of pots and pans from a thrift store. I had a great experience a year ago on a Princess Cruise in the Mediterranean. But this one was disappointing.

This was our 2nd princess family cruise and we were very excited for the new ship. Sadly our expectations were not met. We were looking forward to the indoor pool (as we were well aware outdoor swimming traveling to New Zealand probably wouldn’t happen).
