First time with the Queen Mary 2 doing SYD-SIN. We have been with Royal Carribean Allure of the Seas and Aida Blue. First time coming in we have visited the pursers office to ensure we don't get charged their hefty daily room service charge.. then next day the charges were applied to our room... anyways we got this fixed right away by visiting them.. no worries. We chose this cruise because of the Indian Ocean and east Africa itinerary knowing the ship was older but refurbished in 2021 and 4 star rated. The rating should be 2 or 3 star at best and here is why-
Main dinning room food options while well prepared, were limited, no lobster, no escargot, no prime rib. We found it dumbed down and nothing special.

This was to be the cruise of a lifetime but now it will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Big mistake.
We weren't told at the time of booking that the ship was being refurbished but thought at least things will be updated. Nice.
Well the toilets didn't work on the first day and few, if any, restrooms in the public areas were available. The toilets worked intermittently for the first few days.
Our cabin's heating/air conditioning worked intermittently as well.

This cruise was supposed to visit Athens and Rhodes before going through the Suez Canal.
