We expected a luxury holiday, we paid a fortune for this cruise and it really and truly wasn’t worth it. We had never been with celebrity before and wouldn’t consider them again. All the sales people want are your dollars, they sell a large range of mediocre diamonds, but nothing of any use on the actual store, for example no sun tan lotion, no indigestion tablets, no newspapers, no books, they do have books for hire in the library, but some bright spark has stuck stickers’ property of celebrity cruises’ over the spine of each one, I mean when you have paid nearly 6k for a cruise, it’s unlikely you are going to steal a £3.00 paperback. The outside seats were grubby and sticky (yuk) and the food was at best average. We ate in SAN Marco 4 times and sent our meals back twice, we ate in Blu but the portions while supposedly healthy, are tiny, you are left feeling hungry. The CustomerService staff we encountered were on the whole, not that bothered, one or two of them were great, but they were in the minority. If 8 was to sum up our cruise with Celebrity in a few words, I’d say go with someone else, no wow factor with this ship, more like a glorified ferry. There were People who seemed to enjoy it but they had cabins on the lower decks and paid a lot less than we did, it was a waste of money.
Cabin clean and cabin staff helpful but zero wow factor as old and worn out ship
