We joined QM2 at Singapore on a section of her world voyage.
Embarkcation was reasonable enough and were soon at the Kings Court for a light lunch.
Our cabin was an obstructed balcony on deck 7 - a spacious cabin well turned out although we did have a problem with a leaking toilet for 2 days at the start of the cruise.
Our cabin stewardess from South Africa was excellent - nothing was too ...
I must have been on a different cruise than some of the other reviewers. After 20 + cruises on various cruise lines, I found this one mediocre. Perhaps I expected too much of the exotic 37 day Singapore to Southampton itinerary.
I have to admit the highlight of the trip, Petra, definitely did live up to its hype and my expectations. The Suez Canal on the other hand was a major disappointment ...
the staff on sapphire seemed to just be going through the motions there were many we spoke to and they were just looking forward to getting off in Athens and Rome (contract finishing) , the onboard entertaiment was boring to say the least there is only so much violins that a person can listen to (37 days) thats all that seemed to be on in the piazza area (boring) the cruise director and manager ...
We recently completed the Singapore to Southampton Cruise on Sapphire Princess, which really was a simply fabulous experience. So many wonderful ports of call, with Aqaba/Petra, Dubai, Athens, Naples/Capri & Monte Carlo particularly memorable.
All of the crew onboard Sapphire Princess, worked extremely hard and did their utmost to make everyone’s Cruise experience a good one. With very few ...
We chose this cruise because we happened to be going from Singapore to Rome. The price was outstanding, so despite the generally poor reviews, we tried Costa.
Shazaam!...now we’re big Costa fans! The ship is good, but the crew is amazing. Costa (or at least the Fortuna) clearly has the secret sauce recipe for keeping its crew (apparently) happy and very highly effective.
Here’s some ...
Itinery was part of a bucket list tour and expectations were set high to travel Cunard for the first time. We are platinum NCL travellers (smaller ships) plus experienced P & O and Royal Caribbean passengers having competed over 40 cruises..
We have never experienced such poor standard as our 36 days fromSingaporeto Southampton onQM2 .
No management could spare the time to even acknowledge ...
We have sailed many lines and Cunard definately has a different feel to the American lines despite US$s used onboard and US owned. There was not the constanr push to buy packages and alcohol was even allowed to be brought onboard but only for cabin use. The so called formal nights started at 10pm. We had a 6pm dinner so a long wait for the formal. We didn't bother with them. The formal dining room ...
We recently returned from half world QM2 cruise Singapore to Southampton. Many good things about this 35 day cruise which, overall, we greatly enjoyed and for which the basic price (excluding on-board extras) was excellent value . Unlike some recent reviewers, we were very impressed with quality of food and staff attitudes in Kings Court buffet, which generally also catered well for vegetarians ...
Booked this cruise for two reasons, the itinerary and to see for ourselves if Cunard is what they say they are. The itinerary was great, Cochin excepted but we expected that. We had three complaints about this cruise, first of which was the visas for India. We had no plans to go ashore in Cochin but was told that we must have full tourist visas otherwise we would not be able to embark the ship in ...
Good value for money. Very disappointed that Happy Hour had been taken off all Princess Cruises. Food was great. I have noticed portion size has decreased which is a great thing. Entertainment was very ordinary. I enjoyed the few days from Singapore. The entertainment progressively got worse. I found the activities on board not to my liking. This was my 5th Princess cruise and it was the ...
