We have sailed many lines and Cunard definately has a different feel to the American lines despite US$s used onboard and US owned. There was not the constanr push to buy packages and alcohol was even allowed to be brought onboard but only for cabin use. The so called formal nights started at 10pm. We had a 6pm dinner so a long wait for the formal. We didn't bother with them. The formal dining room food was very disapppinting but the buffet was the best we have had at sea. Gym area was not supervised and many people were using equipment incorrectly even when pt walked passed they showed no interest even if asked.
To Cunards credit many shore excursione were competive with private ones, however if a tour was cancelled a 10% penalty was added to your onboard account. Book shore excursions early as prices increase closet to departure.Shore excursions were advertised for Cairo but never eventuated.
Bed linen was superior quality but pillows were awful. We had to purchase our own.
Tired, obstructed view is misleading, NO view at all.
Water presure very good but shower leaked into carpet in bedroom.
Free shuttle to shopping mall
I have been to Dubai twice before so did a private tour to Abu Dhabi
Caught train into Rome and did vatican Museums, had booked these ticked privately to skip line
