Ivy at the spa

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The spa was the best part of this historic boat. Go to the spa and ask for Ivy to give you a massage. Very Good service in the spa. I would recommend buying a spa package as soon as you get on board. The staff were very friendly aas well all over the boat. And the rooms were clean. The entertainment was not good. The singers were out of tune. They did have a good tango entertainment night. ...

We were on the 9 Night Southern Caribbean Holiday Grandeur Of The Seas Dec 2023 cruise. We had a cabin with Spacious Ocean View Balcony. The cabin was good and spacious but the balcony was not spacious at all. The boat was clean and easy to navigate. All the crew were nice and helpful. Our housekeeper (Rolly) was fantastic. The food was delicious everywhere and the service was good. The shows were ...

One of RCL's oldest. Needs to retire.

We've been on the Grandeur years ago. I understand it was due to be retired, but saved at the last minute. Please! Retire! It shows it's age everywhere right down to the shower curtains which leak everywhere. As with most lines, service and food keep declining in the name of profits. If you sell to the trailer park boys, surprise, they're gonna book. The 350+ pounders were in abundance, ...

Third Cruise on The Grandeur Of The Seas

The ship itself is very well maintained and there are only cosmetic touchups. The staff as ALWAYS were great, excellent service throughout the ship. Yes, my biggest complaint was my fellow passengers! I gave up watching the nightly music entertainment when well after midnight there were several unattended toddlers roaming around the stage floor every night. Rude, loud whistling, shouting audience. ...

Pleasant cruise on older well maintained ship.

This is an older boat, well maintained. Don’t go expecting the Odyssey of the seas because it is not. The service and food was excellent. There are only two pools. So the main pool was filled with kids. The adult only pool was very nice. But it is a covered pool. The entertainment on board was entertaining but probably the worst of any ship I have been on. There was one blonde who sang in ...

Good but with limitations

We had a very good time on the cruise but with limitations. This is an older smaller ship and you can't expect all the bells and whistles on the bigger newer ships. The service by the staff was excellent although you could tell they were short staffed in the lounges. Our cabin was a jr suite and was fine. It had a nice sitting area with lots of storage space and a decent sized bathroom. We had ...

We've cruised several times and just wanted a quick getaway so the ports and all the bells and whistles weren't a huge deal to us. Unfortunately the food was some of the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Nothing was realllllly good or standout. The 3 specialty restaurants booked on the first day so I would do that in advance if you want to go. The staff was great! They were very attentive and great ...

Minus and Plus

Sailed on May 4 2022 for 5 day cruise. The plus- the staff was very fine, although it seemed that there was a shortage of staff, at times. The entertainment was good, not great, except for the Tango show which was spectacular. The ship is in good shape and our cabin was fine. The Minus- the dining room food at dinner was really bad. There were a few good choices, and overall, the food was ...

Baltimore to Bahamas

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Chose this cruise a year ago in order to visit Key West and the Bahamas for the first time. Booked a Junior Suite on Deck 8 and My Time dining as early sitting was sold out. Took the chance that flying to Baltimore from Seattle would work in Feb. Overall, a good cruise experience in many respects. The Grandeur is an old ship which is clean and in pretty good shape but will really need its ...

Mostly Lovely Crew and Ship; Not So Much the Food

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The port in Baltimore had organized embarkation and debarkation. I was not prepared for the VERY long uphill walk to the ship. Using a cane, it was difficult. The up-selling began before the long walk to the ship and continued throughout the cruise. That was a huge turn off. We came out on the 4th floor about 11 AM and had lunch later at the Park Cafe near the Solarium on deck 9. Our suite was ...
