We've cruised several times and just wanted a quick getaway so the ports and all the bells and whistles weren't a huge deal to us. Unfortunately the food was some of the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Nothing was realllllly good or standout. The 3 specialty restaurants booked on the first day so I would do that in advance if you want to go. The staff was great! They were very attentive and great with guests. Costa Maya is a very sad looking port. It's almost an embarrassment to stop there in my opinion. The excursions are very pricey for what you're doing. We did the 7 lagoon boat tour and it was nice but it look over an hour to get there from the port. We were only on the lagoon for 2 hours. Cozumel was great and a very consistent port stop! Overall, we had a fun time. We ended up spending most of our time in the adult only Solarium.
