An Alaska Cruise.. best way to see Alaska!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

It was amazing to be on a ship that big. It had 13 floors, and tons of rooms! The ship had about 3000 passengers and about 800 crew members. That is a pretty good ratio. The staff were very helpful, the food was good. Not great, but wholesome! Lots of ethnic options, and was welcome to see a lot of Indians in the kitchen, making some good Indian food, and masala tea! You have to ask for ...

We enjoyed our cruise on the Radiance. We were traveling with family and the ship had activities for all ages. The kids enjoyed the warm pools even though the outside temps were in the 50's. The ship had been refurbished last year...new flat screen TVs in cabins, new carpet in cabins. The sheets were of a good quality and our steward was always smiling and did a good job. However, there was ...

On June 15, 2012, we embarked on the RCCL's Rhapsody of the Seas, a Vision-class vessel accommodating about 2,000 passengers, to sail the Alaskan Inside Passage. We took a taxi from the Hilton Seattle (centrally located/comfortable) to Smith Cove Terminal Pier 91 in Seattle. The 10-minute ride cost $12 plus gratuity. NOTE: As residents of Las Vegas, we are accustomed to top-tier service in ...

Pre cruise. I arrived in Seattle June 14th just to make sure that there were no delays or if there were I had plenty of time to get there. All flight were on time and I made it to Seattle a little after 10 am. I had prearranged with Go Airport Shuttle for a ride from the airport to the Hampton Inn and Suites at 700 5th Ave N. The ride took about 45 minutes as there were 3 different hotels the ...

Overall it was a great trip! Met some real nice people aboard and had incredible weather all week long!!! Rhapsody of the Seas had just come out of re fit approximately 8 weeks prior to our cruise. You probably would not have guessed that it had just finished refurbishment. Most of the money from the re fit went into adding specialty restaurants, upgrading public restrooms, and adding some ...

This was our second time on this ship and routing, boarding in Seward was a breeze we were the first ones on the ship and were given a big hello. Followed immediately with the upsales for dining and beverage packages, which we politely declined. We set off for Lunch and to explore the ship and its changes. Our Cabin was ready at 1pm so we went to drop our carry on bag, my first issue came here. ...

Rhapsody to Alaska

I've been on ten cruises in my life. Seven with Royal Caribbean and one with Windstar, Oceania & Celebrity. The three different cruise lines were far superior, but nearly twice as expensive. As far as I'm concerned, with Royal Caribbean you get the best bang for the buck. Royal Caribbean takes you to the far corners of the world at a price the average guy can afford. I knew I wanted to go ...

We were a family group with 8 inside cabins. Know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. 14 years ago, my friends paid over $2000.00 each for an inside room for this 7 day cruise. Food and service were much different in those days. Today, cruise prices have decreased to make cruising more affordable for families. As a result, meals are less extravagant, line ups are longer, ...

Bucket list - check!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

An Alaskan Cruise was on my "bucket list" and I had a certain price in mind with a sail date being in May/June when the majority of schools (K-12) would still be in session -- very intentional to avoid parents who decide to let the ship's crew watch their children rather than be responsible parents. RCI had the right price (outside cabin) with the right timeframe, and the right amount of days (7 ...
