We chose Regent based on prior experience. This was our 4th cruise, and on this beautiful new ship Explorer everything was even better than we remembered. Crew, amenities, excursions, food -- all just absolutely top notch! We embarked in Rome, and stopped at multiple locations in Italy, France and Spain. Valencia as a real highlight for us, as was Florence. But every port was great. ...
This was cruise #3 with Regent. The experience on the Explorer was the best. Everyone was like the former Cheers show where "everyone knows your name." Amazing memories of staffers who may have only seen you once or twice the entire week. Must have access to the photos of cruisers to have those memories.
Loved the new ship. If someone couldn't have a good time on the ship, they can't have ...
Hello jakethesnake55! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent cruise aboard Seven Seas Explorer. Exciting details are still to come regarding our newest ship Seven Seas Splendor....
WE chose this cruise as we were flying into Rome and needed to get to Lisbon and the itinerary had most places we have never visited or were on our hit list of places to see. Our cabin was fantastic, the bed great and the bathroom outstanding. We have travelled with Regent before and were looking forward to trying the new ship. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The excursions we did ...
This was one of our most enjoyable cruises in a long time. The ship is absolutely beautiful to include the use of dark woods, artwork throughout the ship, and gorgeous chandeliers. Our F2 cabin was perfect in size and layout with an overly generous walk-in closet and bathroom. Dining was excellent with most meals being well prepared. The Pacific Rim specialty restaurant disappointed me on the ...
We do not think the photos and videos publicity do the Regent SS Explorer justice. A phenomenal amount of thought and attention to detail has gone into achieving a magnificent, beautiful masterpiece of craftsmanship.
But saying that any organisation is as good as its staff. We feel Regent have moved into a different league with the quality, charm, presentation and efficiency of the staff on ...
At our initial cocktail party, it was announced that 390 of the 750 passengers on board had cruised from 75 to well over 400 days on Regent. This gives you an idea of the loyalty of these cruisers to the company. Yet, while perusing Cruise Critic reviews, this loyalty and love of Regent does not seem to correlate with the reviews. Why is this? I believe that these avid cruisers rarely write ...
This was my fourth cruise on Regent (wife's fifth). We had originally planned to take Navigator trans-Atlantic in March, but switched to the new ship as soon as we got the announcement email. After looking at the floor plans, we decided on a concierge room, and it was the nicest we've had on a cruise. When we renovate our house, I want our bathroom to be as nice as our cabin's!
Our ...
We got off the Explorer two days ago. It was our first crossing and it was wonderful. The Explorer is a beautiful ship in all respects. The decor is elegant and is obvious lots of money and thought went into it. We loved everything about the cruise.
Cabin: Even though Regent's cabins are larger than most cruise lines, this cabin was much bigger. Lots of drawers (including the bathroom), ...

Same wonderful service
The Explorer is brand new. But the warm, friendly service from the Regent crew is the same as on all the other Regent ships. We found the service everywhere to be fast and efficient. Within a few days many of the crew knew us.
Food
The food is, if anything, better than ...
We had travelled with Regent before and wanted to experience their new ship. Although quite different in decor to the other ships - the wood is slightly darker, it is a stunning looking vessel with lovely touches such as beautiful glass and works of art scattered around the ship.
The internet needs work - it seemed to be switched off in port which, as we were in port most days, meant that it ...
