WE chose this cruise as we were flying into Rome and needed to get to Lisbon and the itinerary had most places we have never visited or were on our hit list of places to see. Our cabin was fantastic, the bed great and the bathroom outstanding. We have travelled with Regent before and were looking forward to trying the new ship. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The excursions we did were outstanding from the Tuscan towns of Siena and San Gimigano, Our Monaco tour of the Villa De Rothschild ( this was one of our best tours ever), the small provence town of St Remy De Provence, Valencia, Barcelona and Monserrat and Lisbon. We didn't particularly enjoy Gibraltar but this wasn't Regents fault. We enjoyed a great magic show and a 60s night. But the food was what we enjoyed the most. We just love Prime 7 it has always been our best meal but all meals were great. The service was always outstanding from the cabin staff to the waiting staff, it made for a great holiday. We even booked another cruise while on the ship.

Cabin Review

Concierge Suite
Cabin E 1025
I would never choose this cabin again as lots of noise above from the pool area with moving around of chairs through the day and night as well as trolleys running over wooden floors early in the morning. One floor down would have been a lot better but the room itself was outstanding and a great size.

  • Montserrat Walking Tour
This tour was really interesting and the views from the monastery were amazing. After viewing the monastery we went to a local restaurant which had the most amazing food. Even though it was a buffet the variety was outstanding with lots of local dishes.

  • San Gimignano
This was a delightful tour except for the weather. Always wanted to go to Tuscany so this really ticked the box for me. Even the drive home through the back roads was great.

  • Rock of Gibraltar
The tour was good but the weather wasn't and so there wasn't much to see as the fog was too heavy. Not a lot to see if you didn't want to go shopping.

  • Cascais, Sintra and the beach
The guide was terrible but the scenery made up for it. There was so much to see in a short time. Cascais would have been better if not so much time just walking through and spending a bit more time in Sintra. The guide didn't give us much help in where to go or what to see so were a little disappointed.

  • Marseille
This tour took us into the provence country side. The town was really pretty with a lovely market day. The town was small but not crowded and was quaint with some really great shops. Just loved the free time to wander around.

  • Monaco (Monte Carlo)
We had great weather but the villa was just amazing everything has been kept exactly as it was in time of the occupant so the furniture and knick knacks were lovely but the best part was the gardens. All the roses were in full bloom and all the perfume was just fantastic. Most roses these days have the perfume bred out but these were just glorious could have spent the whole day exploring the gardens.

  • Valencia
This city was really beautiful. It was very well maintained and we enjoyed our visit to the local market place. Would have liked to have had a bit more free time as got sick of all the churches but the architecture was really well preserved. We had a traditional paella meal at a local restaurant which was very good. Could have spent more time wandering around Valencia
