Was on a cruise previously with Norwegian.
The service was excellent then and we dicided to go with their bigger ship this time round. The service, food, restaurants, staff and entertainment (Leo in particular) all superb and would do again.
Leo from the Philippines played the guitar and mouth organ in one of the bar areas and was absolutely top notch. His ability to remember people's names ...
My husband and I booked this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. We flew I to Rome two days before the cruise in order to decompress and explore a bit of Rome before embarking. Because I have mobility issues, we arrived at the port and I was provided a wheelchair and was processed immediately. Our cabin was also ready when we embarked. We stayed in a balcony on the forward side of the ship. ...
We cruised on the Epic from 30/05/23 to 08/06/23 from 'Rome' to 'Rome', stopping in Naples, Palma (Mallorca), Ibiza, Barcelona, Cannes and Livorno. We had previously cruised on the Epic transatlantic from Lisbon to NYC in December, and I had not planned to review this cruise. However, this cruise ended up differing quite a lot because of the changes brought forward by Norwegian in-between cruises ...
Lovely ship ! Getting on in Rome was simple . Getting off in Portugal was also quick . Food was great in the main dining rooms, so so at Buffetts, Osheehans not as good on this ship. hotdogs and hamburgers were not edible. All housekeeping dining , guest services staff wonderful and friendly! all except the dreaded shore excursion team! in particular the assistant manager! how on earth is it ...
Our Most Challenging Cruise and Trip to Date: 22 days from Rome to Israel
In November 2019, we had been on a wonderful B2B cruise in the western and eastern Mediterranean on the MSC Grandiosa and the NCL Spirit. We were excited to return to Israel to see more sites and experience history and culture, so we booked the NCL Epic from Nov 3-15, 2022. This 2022 cruise was far more challenging than ...
We began our cruise adventure with a wonderful TA she kept us as informed as humanly possible throughout the changes that were taking place. We booked three nights in Rome before the cruise and one night after. NCL put us up at the Golden Tulip it was a lovely old hotel not too far from the train station. Everything was very clean and the staff were great. We also purchased all of our shuttles ...
The Epic has great food and bartenders, entertainment was good and many music venues to choose from. There is always something going on on board and plenty of lounge chairs to just relax if that’s what you are looking to do. The specialty dinners were terrific and worth the money.
The only downside is the size of the cabins are good for two passengers we had were three in a rear facing balcony ...
We selected the Epic for our Mediterranean tour, starting in Rome (Civitavecchia). Experience on the ship was very satisfying. Many bars with singers/activities all day and night. Food on the Epic was very good with 2 separate but equal dining rooms or the Garden Buffet, and many specialty restaurants (I did not try). I was glad that they opened the buffet until 11:30 PM for late snacks. The ...
I felt the need to write a review after seeing so many negative ones prior to sailing. There were some negative experiences but overall it was a great trip and I would book with NCL again.
Reduced Airfare - this was a great deal to fly from Newark to Rome for only $400. Our biggest issue was they wouldn’t let us change our arrival or departure date so we were not able to spend time in Rome. We ...
My wife and I just completed an Eastern Med Cruise on the Norwegian Epic. We have done a number of NCL cruises, and this was our first on the Epic.
The food in the Garden Cafe was good and we ate all of our on board meals there. Gluten free options were not marked and we found no gluten free desserts or breads. A posted sign indicated that you need to request gluten free bread, but all there ...
