The good.. The ship was awesome and the ports during the Greek Isles cruise were all amazing , with exception to Olympia, which many on the ship considered a waste of what could've potentially been a full day at sea headed to Malta instead. It would've been nice to be able to enjoy the ship more and what it had to offer. Eliminating that port would've been great. This would've also allowed more ...
We have been on Oceania 6-7 times.
We like new ships. The vista is beautiful, but, here is what I do not like.
The theater, does not angle enough (can’t see the stage as well as other ships). The music at the shows way too loud.
They charge for a second line internet!!! Like Oceania is not expensive enough (I hate nickel and dime!!!). Just do tge right thing and give the Wi-Fi to both ...
Several years I started a series of blogs relating our adventures[and misadventures] of cruising with someone who has walking difficulties ie my husband.
For anonymity I call him 6.
You may remember the 70s series about Steve Austin an astronaut who was severely injured and rebuilt with bionics to the tune of 6 million dollars.
Well as a result of Rheumatoid arthritis hitting him in his ...
We joined 400 dancers on the cruise for Dance Academy Tour.
It was our first cruise, and I must say that the service was exquisite. We lost our cruise card multiple times, yet we could ask for a new one at the desk at any moment in time. Our room was cleaned twice a day, everything worked perfectly and the staff was polite all the time. We had the same person cleaning our room each day and it ...
I have cruised with celebrity on two other occasions and wasn’t disappointed with beyond for its style and its fabulous staterooms and food and entertainment.
Having said that cruising with celebrity has changed in as much as beyond is more a party ship with music everywhere you go, you can’t get away from it even in the speciality restaurants which are open to the music going on below making ...
Azamara Cruise:
Ship :
The ship was small and not overcrowded, which was nice as it allowed for personal attention and no long queues.
Staterooms were good, and Deck 5 was pleasant as well.
However, the ship is still quite old and could benefit from renovation.
Deck 9, including the pool area and Windows Cafe (main buffet restaurant), does not meet the luxury/upper standards.
The ...
The cruise was great. Had a penthouse suite and the room was outstanding. Large and inviting. Only room complaint was the AC was turned down as low as it would go and while kind of cool, it was never cold. Otherwise it was perfect. The food in the specialty restaurants and main dining was very good. The issue was there had no food before 6:30 pm when dinner started? How do you have a cruise with ...
My husband and I booked this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. We flew I to Rome two days before the cruise in order to decompress and explore a bit of Rome before embarking. Because I have mobility issues, we arrived at the port and I was provided a wheelchair and was processed immediately. Our cabin was also ready when we embarked. We stayed in a balcony on the forward side of the ship. ...
... there was Modern Luxury!
I confess that Celebrity is my favourite cruise line. And again I had a very enjoyable time onboard the Celebrity Beyond. I love the EDGE class ships (the new balconies are not for me but there are other possibilities). The crew was fantastic. Loved my Sunset Veranda. The food in the MDR was fine. Without a reservation I never had to wait for a table. Ok, the pasta ...
The Celebrity Beyond is a beautiful ship. It has all the latest technology with lots of little hidden areas. Eden is probably the best kept secret on board. Make sure to visit it for lunch (free) and dinner (charge). Personnel on ship is also great. My only three complaints are:
1. Our room smelled musty/damp. Unfortunately, housekeeping was not able to fix the issue. They replaced the ...
