1-10 of 71 Oceania Regatta Suite Cabin Cruise Reviews
We had never cruised Oceania, wanted the small ship experience that Holland America no longer offers, first time Alaska. We booked an owner's suite, there are six of these on this ship. Promised "priority boarding" was a joke, we were treated to a cattle-call through screening and security behind a very large crowd of passengers (75 to 100) before boarding, anyone who felt like it was allowed to ...
First time on Oceania. Picked the cruise for the itinerary. We had been to New Zealand and the South Pacific before and wanted to see a few more islands. Unfortunately, coronavirus concerns by the island governments forced the ship to cancel Mare Island, Samoa, American Samoa and Huahine. No new ports were added, just longer stays in Nomnea and Papeete. Spent a couple extra days at sea, but I ...
My husband and I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and our past experience with the vegetarian food on Oceania. We have only sailed on the larger Oceania ships - this was our first time on one of their smaller ships. We could not have been more disappointed in the food quality and selection. The limited number of options were vegetables that were either fried, soaked in oil or in a ...
Freshly perked up from her recent refit, Regatta was a charmer. Our penthouse had been totally redone in soothing sea colours and lots of light, the public areas were inviting, and despite the rumors we had heard about the effects of Norwegian penny-pinching in the culinary department, the food seemed to us at least as good as we remembered from previous Oceania trips and perhaps even better (of ...
This is the 11th day on this cruise ship Regatta. People complain about minor things but let’s stop for a moment and really think of what people complain about!
I have met the most decent, hard working, humble employees on the planet. They treat you well, they attend and go beyond their work. One must remember these people are months and months without husband, wife, daughters, sons and loved ...
Great Ship
The ship is great and the staff is fantastic. It is nice the water and specialty coffees are included. No photographer constantly taking pictures. Also no cocktail staff in the theater during the shows.
The rooms are very nice, larger than most other ships and the cabin attendants were unreal.
The company touts the "Finest Cuisine at Sea" and theirs ranks among the more ...
Embarkation and disembarkation was relatively smooth. Don’t expect much hospitality. Employees are not excited about their jobs so don’t expect many smiles either. We spent much extra to stay in a (PHS) Penthouse Suite and was advertised our own personal Butler, (which was shared by many other suites so personalized is the farthest from the truth.) He is given too many rooms to service.
We also ...
We chose this cruise based on itinerary, since we wanted to visit several islands.
I had read rave reviews of the food, but that’s so subjective I didn’t have real expectations. The food was very inconsistent; great in day and not so great the next. The fish was awful - other than the tuna, I found bones in EVERY fish dish I ordered.
We ignored the entertainment, as it just wasn’t for ...
We chose this cruise after seeing the itinerary. Not only did this cover the east side of Australia, where a lot of cruises stay, but we were very interested in seeing some of Western Australia. The cruise also included two ports in Papua, New Guinea and two in Indonesia. Since this cruise is during the height of summer, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia were very warm with high humidity. Papua New ...
I have been on 2 previous Oceania cruises and chose this one because it left from San Francisco to many ports I hadn't visited and through the Panama Canal. Unfortunately, we changed itinerary for 8 days due to a tropical storm and missed 5 excursions. Communication from Captain or cruise director was terrible. No explanation for any thing. Morale among the passengers was very poor. I'm sure ...
