I read all the reviews before deciding on a holiday so only fair that I should leave my own objective review. This trip was our first time on Britannia and we had a fantastic trip. The food choices were really good, we ate normally in the Oriental restaurant and were very well looked after with the waiters always offering more if we wanted it or to change things if they though we weren't keen. We ...

My husband and I travelled with our 5year old son. Embarkation was very good. We got on much earlier than our allocated slot and the bags already outside our cabin. The cruise demographic was largely retirees. With just under 100 under 18s on board. This was largely fine but the ships design caused major issues. There were lots of people who needed to use the lifts due to mobility issues and the ...

This was our second cruise after the Arcadia last year. This was definitely a step up in quality of food and overall wow factor of the ship. Yes there is a bit of getting used to which lifts to use to get down to your required deck but that's offset by enjoying the beautiful interior decor and ambience. We cruised to the Madeira and the Canaries. I must admit to being quite surprised as to the ...

We were very apprehensive as we joined Britannia for our cruise around the med Sept 16-30th. We really enjoyed our time on the boat however. We had an inside cabin which was plenty big enough and in fact on the foggy days appeared to be the only ones who had a good nights sleep - never heard the fog horn at all. We enjoyed all the destinations we visited and the trips to Rome and Florence ...

This was our second cruise with Brittania, we chose it again because of the cleanliness of the ship, also the menues in the restaurant were good, staff very friendly, and the food was all ways lovey and hot,, This time we found the menus didn’t have so much choice, too much fish for us, food still lovey and hot I must say, The Buffet at lunch time didn’t have a lot of choice also again much the ...

We had been recommended to P&O by a friend who had previously been on Britannia and had really enjoyed it, so we thought we'd give it a try ourselves. The itinerary were all places we had never visited before, and looked really good. We took the bus down to Southampton, which was really useful and meant we didn't have to drive. Embarkation and disembarkation was excellent with no ...

No complaints...But I think the ship is too big.

This was my 11th. cruise and my third (in a row) on P&O. I always said I wouldn't travel on the really big ships, but Britannia has single cabins and this particular cruise fitted with my holiday time from work-and this trip almost halved the cost from my 2015 cruise because of the single person cabin costs. I will split this review into sections as I have done before, starting ...

Just a bit too British!

As a first time single traveller and first time with P&O I was understandably nervous about this cruise. First impressions were I disliked Britannia, however as the days went by I got to like the intamacy of the ship, so many places to go and never crowded, even on sea days. Food was dull and repetitive and too British, waould have loved to be served regional food from the counties visited. ...

Yanks Cruise on Britannia

We cruised down the Rhine and decided to add on the 7-day cruise going to several new ports for us. We've cruised 20+ times, but always on ships geared to US passengers. The differences we noticed were not bad, just different. Service was much slower and impersonal-- very little interaction between waiters and passengers. Perhaps the training varied. Waiters did not seem to know much about ...

First time with P&O and on the whole very happy. The entertainment and activities could have been so much better but I do appreciate that you can't please everybody. The cabins and cleanliness of the ship were excellent. The food was, in my view, better than a previous cruise company I had been with. The problem I had was understanding why Gibralter was said to be too busy to call into. The ...
