We chose this cruise because it was outside of school holidays and it went to some places we had not been to on other cruises. We started in Valetta, did a week in the eastern Med then back to Valetta, we then stayed on and went to Palma, Gibraltar and then onto the Canaries.
We usually prefer adult only ships and smaller ships, to date this was the biggest ship we had been on.
Having booked ...
Was weary of going with P & O and I was right, firstly the awful smell of sewage on deck 7 all through one of the cabaret bars, not an officer in sight all the first week. Secondly the petty rules associated with the drinks package, you were allowed 15 drinks a day, but no doubles. At the bar I asked for 2 single gins ( using 2 of my 15 allowance ), but no, I could only have 1 and had to wait 15 ...
Spent several weeks retrying to cancel as entitled when 49% itinerary changed. No response from PO.
Dreadful service not shown to cabin, lunch in canteen wine served in plastic.
No turn down service stewards working in restaurant in evenings,
Repetitive menu.
Apps for booking shows and dining, resulting in 21/2 hours in dining room and missing shows.
Should look at their ...
This was our 1st cruise since before the covid lockdown we were really looking forward to it. We arrived in sunny Malta for a week around Corsica, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Sicily. We booked an inside cabin so we could spend more on excursions and other stuff and it was fine. I did miss the turn down and the chocolate on the pillow but we did find out that the stewards were being used else where on ...
We did a fly cruise to join Azura in Malta flew from Gatwick boarding the flight and flight itself was seamless going out no delays. re was a 2 hour delay on the return due to pilots being late as they had to have a statutory rest period . We chose Cophall parking to park the car at the airport and collection from Gatwick north was shambolic totally disorganised , drivers did not know who they ...
Members of my family offered me the chance to cruise with them on Azura. I was very pleased to take up the offer.
We only had one week, but it was a chance to visit Croatia and to see Malta again. Azura was just as I remembered her. (Last visit was in 2014} My daughter and I had a twin cabin with balcony on Lido deck. Apart from the tiny shower .It was great. Dining arrangements and visiting ...
We had booked a cruise with my daughter and her family last year, but it got cancelled. So this was the new date. My wife and I, my daughter and her hubby and grandchildren Theo (13 ) and Imogen (11).
The flight from Manchester to Valletta was at 2.05 pm. and because it was late taking off we didn't arrive at Valletta airport until 7.30 pm - their time. Collecting Luggage and embarkation went ...
After looking forward to our second cruise with P&O, the first being on Oceana, I found myself doing lots of comparisons on the two ships and I must say that Oceana far outstrips Azura.. there is/was one particular reason for this... from day 1 on the Azura there was an almost constant smell of sewage on every deck which sometimes permeated down into main dining areas.
Having spoken to several ...
This was the infamous cruise which left 1200 passengers (including me and my wife) stranded in Monte Carlo. We even made the papers.
Don't believe the stories about the weather getting worse and the passenger couldn't be tendered back to the ship. The weather was just a light breeze and the transfer of passengers should have been perfectly OK. The problem was that their was an excess of large ...
We chose this cruise as it was our first and the destinations were places we wanted to visit. We missed embarkation photos etc. as the bus was late. The ship was very nice but a little tired. Getting around was extremely confusing and we found our way round with more help from other passengers than the staff. There could have been clearer sign posting. The dining rooms were excellent, the ...
