This cruise was booked at the last minute based on a great deal. Since I was able to get a flight from ATL on points, it was a very inexpensive week long vacation. No one was able to take the time for the week, so I cruised solo.

The itinerary was changed because of the hurricanes and the ship only carried 1255 passengers according to the captain. This cruise was the first HAL Cruise we took 3 generations on. There were 6 and 8 yoear olds going to Club HAL and were very happy with their activities and gave the adults "me" time. The itinerary around Central America was intriguing and features the Panama Canal.
Ship food is good, but not excellent. Desserts seem to be made from a soy-based origin. Lots of mousses that taste rather chemical in nature and seem to stand up by themselves.

recommended by a friend but I will not recommend Our cabin was obstructed by a lifeboat and we were not told that. Bedding was not changed the full 2 weeks we were there. Just returned from a 14 day Caribbean Cruise which was wonderful. Enjoyed all the ports of call, snorkeled, went diving, hiked, played with Stingrays, explored cities.
