Pleasant escape from Winter, along Pacific coast of Central & South America

Oceania cruises are great for couples (nothing interesting for children or singles) This cruise was from San Franciso to Santiago Chile, i.e. a 22-day section of a world cruise. In addition to embarkation and debarkation, we visited these ports: Santa Barbara and San Diego in USA; Cabo, Ixtapa, Acapulco and Puerto Chapas in Mexico; Puerto Quetzel in Gautemala, Acajutla in El Salvador; Manta ...

Hard to find any negatives

This year, we dumped Viking, after a decade, because of the recent cutbacks to their on-board experience. We were delighted to find none of those annoyances on Insignia. The food is outstanding. We enjoyed trying a lot of "luxury" foods that we don't have at home: oysters Rockefeller; caviar; lobster, escargot, filet mignon, etc. And we enjoyed the wide variety of fresh fruits, especially ...

We were interested in getting to some of the countries in West Africa and this cruise included three stops (Togo, Benin, Sao Tome) as well as two countries in South Africa (Namibia & South Africa). The staff were very supportive. The Cruise Director (Leslie) was Outstanding at managing the afternoon Trivia (best we've encountered in over 30 cruises). This was important because we had nine sea ...

I've been trying to get my husband to do the 'leaf peeper' cruise for, at least, 4 years &, to my surprise, he acquiesced this year. Of course, we always choose Oceania when possible. We flew in early to Montreal and spent two wonderful days/3 nights so our happiness began there! Embarkation was flawless and we were greeted by our beautiful & gracious cabin stewardess who immediately noted my only ...

Amazing Amazon cruise was very good, but not the best Oceania experience

Background: We are veteran cruisers and travelers. This was our 27th cruise, our 7th cruise on Oceania and our first cruise that included ports in Brazil, including a week on the Amazon river. It was our longest cruise to date (22 days). Our primary reasons for cruising on Oceania are their unique itineraries and destinations. Our cruise was re-booked in its entirety right at final payment ...

This was a segment of the 180 round the world cruise. I booked because I was interested in the destination - Cape Town - and the ports of call along the west African coast. There was little to complain about on the ship, as I didn't experience any mishaps (unlike some others, as there seemed to be a high rate of injuries aboard ship, that were dealt with in a ranging matter of efficiency) ...

Wonderful First Experience

We are taken many cruises and this was our first experience with Oceania. A wonderful experience and we will definitely sail with this company again. Of course the occasional hiccup but this did not cause us to dislike the cruise. 1. Embarkment was fast and easy. Buffet luncheon was exceptional and we then toured the ship on our own. Public rooms are all well appointed and much polished wood ...
