QVC on the Water

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This cruise came highly recommended to us by my parents, who had been on this ship and cruise twice before and loved it. We invited them to join us, and they were so excited to do so again. By the time the week was over, they were mortified at all the changes and at our experience. Upon embarking on the ship, we entered into QVC on the Water hell, we felt like we were trapped in a time share ...

Made a BIG mistake in choosing this cruise. I have many issues with ROYAL C!!! 1. The windjammer food looked and tasted second rate. Was scared to eat it and didn't want to get sick. Only ate there twice. 2. The 30 minute time limit away from your chairs by the pool really doesn't give you time to go to eat in any of the restaurants without loosing your chair. RIDICULES !!! 3. The comedy ...

RCCL cares more about making money

We have been cruising with RC since 1993 and over the past few years have seen a decline in the care, food and at times the cleanliness of the ship. We had a loft suite and are Diamond Plus members, which are suppose to receive special treatment, well not this cruise. We had reservations made in advance every night and each night we had to wait to be seated, in one case 30 minutes. They seem ...

Avoid this cruise line. They nickel and dime you for absolutely everything. They have $15 drinks -- all of them. Do you want something special to eat, be prepared to pay extra....and I mean a lot extra. Do you want to be entertained...too bad, unless you want to play every game of trivia known to man. Families with kids will especially be bored because there is nothing for them to do. Oh, they ...

Choose the Allure of the Seas instead or go with another company.

The service and the food was terrible, my family was disappointed. Except the lunch at Giovannis, with excellent service, we always prefer to avoid asking for information, because the members did not know how to respond or preferred to make unnecessary comments or were busy flirting among them. Our family chose this company because of a cruise on the Allure of the Seas, but we should not do ...

Horrible Food/ Nightmare Excursion Dragged Down This Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

The Food- The food in the main dining areas has sunk below Carnival and Norwegian. It's like RCCL is forcing us to go to a specialty restaurant to get a quality meal. The steaks in the main dining halls are so over processed they do not bleed when they are cut even when ordered at medium rare. I had a steak that was the color of a pale pork chop. It was red on the inside but didn't have ...

Overall experience

This was my first cruise, and it was with 12 family members. Overall the ship is nice, the staff was excellent. All friendly and nice. The food was just okay. I'm always hearing how great the food is on a cruise, but for us it just fell short. There just wasn't enough options for younger kids, and the salad bar options were few. It seemed as if the menu repeated every other day. The ...

Was excited to see this ship's layout compared to the Freedom which we have sailed many times. Surprised to see how worn the finishes are now. The weather in Florida was perfect on day we set sail, but it rained most of the week, on & off. Made reservations directly with RC booking - big mistake. They promised us a $100 on-board ship credit which we never saw. Also, using a travel agent will ...

Not good....

This was one of our monthly cruises. Nothing special about it. Issues we faced off to were: others smoking on balconies. We complained twice, no effect. Poor cabin steward. Elevators with issues, and, to beat all, our favorite restaurant, Sabor, went from al la carte to per person charging. What used to be reasonable and fair, is now out of control. On the second week of our back to back, the menu ...

Royal Caribbean vs. Carnival Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We chose to cruise with Royal Caribbean for the first time to experience what the massive Oasis of the Seas had to offer. We have only ever cruised with Carnival Cruise line prior to sailing with Royal Caribbean on the Oasis of the Seas. So my review and rating is given in comparison to the competing cruise line. In our experience (family of 4), the prices for drinks, specialty ...
