First Time Cruising for Me

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Star

My husband is not fond of large crowds so we mainly chose NCL Star because of the smaller capacity. It was also a plus that the interior had been newly renovated. The Star Atrium was impressive from the start. When we got to our room, it was better than expected. Comfortable bed and pillows, descent storage and nice bathroom, especially loved the shower head-good water pressure. We ...

We choose this piticular cruise at the last minute due to our original cruise the Oasis of the Seas had got cancelled due to major damage. Thank God for Ashley Bennington @ ashley@jcotravel.com. She was able to within minutes get us on the Star less than one week prior to sailing. Honestly was a little worried about this ship due to the last minutes booking, size and activity. What an amazing ...

Our TA chose it for us and it was a perfect fit for a first time cruiser. We went on the NCL Star from April 13-20th from Miami for a 7 day Caribbean cruise. Shuttle from airport to dock: easy to hail a van for 4 adults, $27-$30 Check in: efficient and fairly quick given how many people there were First impression after stepping into the main lobby: Wow! Some may think it's slightly ...

Have done over thirty cruises with Carnival, Holland, Princess, and Royal Caribbean, while this was the tenth cruise with Norwegian. We had the opportunity to book a suite for the first time which was a definite upgrade from the normal balcony. The suite was magnificent and the balcony was large enough for two chairs, a table, and lounger. The service could not have been any better from ...

We had never visited most of the Islands on this Cruise and specially wanted to visit Aruba & Curaçao. We loved each port and all of our excursions! The ship was just coming from a remodel and was beautifuly redone. It felt like we were traveling on a brand new ship clean & bright. We never traveled on the Star before but, we have been on the Dawn and we loved the improvements. Everything ...

We choose this 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise because we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We don't make a tom of money and felt the value of a cruise, this cruise was a great use of our vacation dollars. Our room steward Ven was amazing. His timing was perfect. Never did we return to our room and have it not ready to receive us. We didn't eat at the buffet much, rather we ate at ...

Not knowing what to expect, we had a great time. The embarkation was quite delayed for the first cruise in the US after retrofit, which shouldn't happen again, but once boarded everything was great. Perfect size for first cruise with plenty to see and do, If you are looking for a wow dining experience you won't get that but you will be more than satisfied with the food offerings and the ...

We love the islands, weather and NCL. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we have taken previous cruises on our 20th and 25th anniversary. We have never been disappointed. The on board staff are amazing people an a credit to NCL. The food, entertainment, bars, restaurants all exceeded our expectations again. The overall value is good and I highly recommend the owners suites. They are spacious ...

This was my 9th NCL cruise, 3rd not he Star, and the best yet. The staff, esp in Aqua, made me feel like a VIP every single visit. The cabin steward was the best I’ve ever had. 14 days’ cruise with a slightly extended stop in Barcelona. The upgrades to the ship are noticeable, both in the cabins and in the public areas. Nice touches. But, to repeat, it was the staff in the Aqua that ...
