Norwegian Star - Pacific Coastal

Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Norwegian Star

This was my 9th cruise, my first on NCL. We took a 3 day Pacific Coastal cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver, stopping in Astoria OR. Since we were flying back to the airport, we parked at the Radisson (closest to LAX) and took a car service to the pier ($58. in comfort at our convenience vs. the $20. per person transfer from the airport, shuttle, etc.). We arrived at the pier at about 2PM with ...

We took 5-day the Pacific Coastal repositioning cruise from L.A. to Vancouver on 5/3/05. We have sailed on 25+ cruises on several different lines. This was our second recent cruise on NCL (went to Alaska on the Star last August/Sept.). Embarkation in L.A. was smooth with no wait. We arrived at about 3 p.m. to avoid the rush. Staff greeted us pleasantly and gave directions to our cabin. (Not like ...

I booked this cruise, the first one for both my wife and me, in October, then discovered this site. After reading some of the reviews, I was appalled, wondering what I was getting into. However, within a very short time of boarding, I came to the conclusion that some people have nothing better to do than complain. Check in went quite quickly. We showed up early, about 3:30 for a 7:00 departure. ...

We decided on this 3 day Pacific Coastal cruise for several reasons, one was to try NCL, and, another was to have a quick vacation. We enjoyed the line and had a great vacation, including a 3 day post cruise stay in beautiful Vancouver. This was our fifth cruise, the previous four on RCI, in which we like a lot, and, look forward to sailing with them again. We are not high maintenance, are very ...

We are experienced cruisers and have cruised with most of the major cruise lines. It was our third cruise with NCL, which by the way, is my favorite. This was a repositioning cruise departing from Los Angeles and having a final destination of Vancouver BC. Along the way, we stopped at Catalina Island, San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria BC and Nainamo BC. Embarkation was quick and painless. This ...

Just returned from our 5 night Pacific Coastal cruise on the Pride of Aloha. This was our first cruise (probably not the best choice for a first cruise). We arrived early and the check in process went fairly well. Once we crossed the gangway and entered the ship we were left to ourselves to try and find our rooms (my wife, two daughters, and my sister all had three adjoining rooms on the Oslo ...

Although not told prior to this cruise, it was the last sailing of the Norwegian Sky. After reaching Vancouver it was to be torn apart while travelling back to dry dock in San Francisco. There it would be refurbished and put back into action as the "Pride of Aloha" and sail with a completely American Crew around the Hawaiian Islands. At each port including the San Juan, competent international ...
