Breakaway Way Too Big

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

The accomodations were good however there are way too many people on the ship for the better activities that were done in the atrium or other common areas. The regular dining was so so . The staff seems very unorganized and the wait was long between courses. The specialty dining was good although we did not care for the moderno restaurant. We found the ...

Things that were terrific and things which need changing.

The crew and staff were terrific. Most friendly and helpful of all cruise ships I've traveled. Rooms were spotless and so was the entire ship. Everything was organized and set to perfection. Elevators were labeled for eliminating getting lost. Overall trip was wonderful! Now for the changes, I feel are needed. Most entertainment was centered around the atrium med ship. Small area with ...

10 Things to Know About My Norwegian Breakaway Cruise

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

I didn't want to provide a long drawn-out narrative on my cruise. Here were the highlights: I was traveling with my wife and two young kids. 1) We saw one show because you needed reservations for all of the shows, one actually included a premium fee, which I had never seen before on a cruise. I found the ticketing system to be annoying and very anti-freestyle. 2) If you go out of NYC ...

My reason for choosing cruising over other forms of travel is for the personalized service. On many ships you can feel like you are staying in a 5 star hotel for very little money. Whether in an interior or the captains suite- you are made to feel like you are the most important person on board. This was not present on the NCL Breakaway! After cruising Carnival in the past I left a little ...

It could have been better!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

First time on the Dawn and I enjoyed the trip. However there were a few areas that will stick in the back of my mind. We were in cabin 10512, we met our steward upon arrival to the room. Seemed like a nice guy, however, did not turn down the cabin the first night. We asked multiple times for our robes, and only after I complained to guest services was when we received them. Overall of the ...

Taking the Dawn from Boston to Bermuda is the easiest vacation ever. We drive less than an hour, park next to the waiting ship and hop aboard complete with our own pillows and a case of bottled water. No planes, no tours to book, no currency to exchange - so simple. This was our 5th trip. The Pros: Checkin was swift once we got through the security line. Once on board, our cabin was ready ...

Third NCL cruise

This was the 3rd NCL cruise my husband and I have done…his 8th cruise and my 6th. We were very excited for this shipping, being a lot newer and larger than any other ship we have been on. Unfortunately my PRO list is a lot shorter than the CON list. PROs: 1) The ship was absolutely gorgeous, all of the finishes and textiles were beautiful. 2) embarkation/debarkation process was fairly ...

Breakaway is not my favorite!

We have been on several cruises, the last three on NCL. I love the free style format and the casualness of the excepted attire. I love staying in the Haven. The beds and bedding are heavenly! However, even the Haven on the Breakaway was not as nice as the other two ships we've been on. The halls are very dark with a brown leather wallpaper and create a closeness that actually makes them smaller ...

Breakaway Experience

We chose this cruise to Bermuda because it was touted as a great ship and we left out of NYC. The Breakaway had a battle with a hurricane on the way back to port in NYC before we boarded later that day...My wife were not as impressed by some (not all) of the staff as other cruise lines. Perhaps this was caused by the stress from the previous cruise through rough seas, but in all it wasn't what we ...

My First Cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines

The Trip I am grateful for (just shy of Category 5) Hurricane Joaquin providing me with the full spectrum of experience of cruising on the open ocean. Without those wonderful 155mph winds, I never would have experienced Sea States ranging the full spectrum 0 thru 8 on a scale of 9, with 9 labeled as "Phenomenal." The previous week's cruise to Bermuda had crossed the hurricane's path in each ...
