Like many others on the ship, we had booked our sailing nearly 2 years in advance, and were definitely in it for the ship rather than the destinations. I hate to say that the cruise was a disappointment, because we certainly had a great time. However, there was a lot of hype behind the marketing and setup of the Quantum that probably took away from the experience, particularly given our long ...
I cruised on the Quantum to Haiti and Puerto Rico March 21 – 29, 2015, my 5th cruise with RCI and 9th cruise overall.
In general, the Quantum lived up to my expectations. However, there were definitely areas that needed improvement to truly give this ship the WOW factor in which RCI boast.
First, I will start with the highlights of the cruise. The ship was absolutely beautiful. The ...
I cruised about 15 cruises and last 8 were RC because I LOVE activities. I was WOWED from Allure - it was fantastic, but was a little disappointed from Quantum. First of all there to many people for that size of the ship. On Allure we didn't even feel how many people were on board.
1. Ship architecture was more modern style - nothing special ..something like IKEA style
2. Technology was way ...
You pay your money and you take your chances...
Quantum of the Seas doesn’t quite WoW like it should. The technology is wonderful but the service and food need a serious overhaul. We sailed on Mar.13th for 8 days and had an outside cabin with balcony on the 10th deck midship. When we embarked there were no staff to greet us, that never happened on any of our six Celebrity cruises. We made our way ...
Just returned from the Quantum and was a little disappointed considering the cost of this cruise.
The good : the rooms are stylish, understated and functional, with plenty of storage. Check in was very efficient, less than 30 minutes and our luggage was at our room by the time the room was ready. The indoor pools and hot tubs allow you to start your vacation immediately. By sail away at 4pm we ...
My wife and I have been a loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser until the “Quantum of the Seas”
We booked our cruise and looked forward to getting away to someplace warm while experiencing the new ship.
The open spaces of the other ships that made you feel like you were really on vacation is not on this ship. Instead we felt like we were in a sardine can. The chairs on the pool deck and solarium were ...
Oh, where to begin...
Embarkation: Easy to park and board. 19 bucks a day and they take credit cards. The new boarding process is fine and the port folks are great. The only downside is northeast winter.
Restaurants:
The food is excellent. HOWEVER: One of the most glaring flaws on Quantum is the restaurant and beverage staff. To put it mildly, the dynamic dining is a disaster. Everyone knows it ...
think twice before you book this ship. It is new since November 2014. Practically everything on the ship was broken at one time. There is a lack of personnel who are mostly rude .
The new restaurant style works only if you reserve your seating before you leave on your cruise. People were closed out of the dining room and had to eat in the Windjammer. The air conditioning failed in four ...
My husband and I are experienced cruisers (28 cruises, seven on Royal Caribbean.) Quantum is a truly beautiful ship. Unfortunately, you can't eat the furniture, nor is it very entertaining. Royal Caribbean apparently designed cruises on this ships for kids and young adults, but the passengers on my cruise were middle-aged, seniors and older!
The food was just ok in the 'complimentary' ...
Just trying out Quantum of the Seas. 12 day to caribbean. We got to Rm. 3612 0n third floor, which was a good location. Unpacked and settled in to find the room had a loud "metal chain" type noise that would have caused us to not be able to sleep. After much hassling with Guest Services in way too many lines, we moved to Rm. 3232 only to find that night that the Latin night club Bolero was diectly ...
