Very Unfortunate Cruise

Let me start by saying that I have never complained about "any" cruise that I have been on in my life, they were all pretty great with some minor flaws and lots of positives... with that been said, I must let potential Norwegian Dawn cruisers get a peek into this ship and crew: A couple complaints and then I'll breakdown the issues by category. Trust me this is a ship you will not be ...

I went on this cruise with my husband, sister, brother-in-law. I had a great time. Embarkation was great because my sister had a suite and they let us embark with them instead of waiting in the cattle call...definitely a bonus! Our room Steward, Goodeye (pronounced Good Day), was the sweetest thing. He did a great job keeping our tiny room clean and his towel animals were the best. I was ...

I will not cruise with Norwegian again. The food in the main dining room was inconsistent. Sometimes it was good; sometimes poor. Steak and prime rib were overcooked. Fries were cold and stale. Never a lobster meal. Never any special type of meal. On some nights, the dinners were good. On others, they were disappointing. The service in the main dining room for dinner was very slow some nights, ...

I have been loyal to Norwegian and have never had a BAD experience. This time, I was very disappointed in service and especially in their policy change of NO bringing sodas or waters of your own on board. I am sure it is to make more money. Understand that but don't make me buy the ship water to take on excursion and then the bottle is so big I can't finish but can't bring it back on board. ...

A pleasant experience on my first cruise

This was my first ever cruise. My wife and I choose a the seven day cruise on the Norwegian Dawn leaving from New Orleans. We choose this cruise because of the destinations, overall price, and the port of New Orleans is only 35 miles from our home. I was very excited when the day finally arrived for us to leave on our seven day vacation. Having never cruised before I wasn't entirely sure what ...

Overall I was happy with my cruise experience. I always love leaving from New Orleans and we had an excellent embarkation and disembarkation. The ship has been renovated since I was last on it and is very nicely done. The dining experience was great in the dining rooms, buffet and O'Sheehans. Our service was excellent every where we ventured. We enjoyed the shows and entertainment offered and ...

Noisy Room, Great Crew

One our first cruise, we wanted to sail out of New Orleans and wanted upscale. I was told that meant NCL. Wrong! Wonderful room steward Gemil. Great servers especially Norbell by the pool. But the room had its own disco under us that started at bedtime and lasted most of the night. They wouldn't swap rooms with us, said nothing was available, which was a lie. Friends we met on board won an upgrade ...

We choose this cruise to watch Jose and Patti. It was when I had a break from work. The room was too small. The staff was not at all helpful. They said there was no additional rooms. They found us a new cabin on day five. It had been empty the whole week. I was supposed to get $50 at every port toward shore excursions. The staff said I was not entitled to it. When I got angry, the manager was very ...

To be honest, we chose NCL due to Celebrity canceling our other cruise on very short notice. Overall our experience on NCL was very good. Our balcony room was comfortable and clean, and service by our waiter "Rakish" was exceptional in the Venetian Room, which is were we took most of our meals in the evening and a couple of breakfasts. The buffets had a very good selection of food, clean, and the ...

First Time But Not Last Time

As first time cruisers wasn't really sure what to expect. Specialty restaurant food was excellent. So good in fact that it made the standard fare seem less appealing. Probably because the inclusive restaurant food was lower quality. Highly recommend Cagney's and Le Bistro. Porterhouse at Cagney's was so good I managed to eat all 32 oz. The rib eye steak at Le Bistro was less impressive, ...
