Thoroughly Enjoyable Long Repositioning Cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

A Panama Canal crossing has long been a bucket list, and the opportunity to see so many other countries was also an attraction. Unfortunately, NCL dropped Honduras and Guatemala from the ports of call, substituting another port for Honduras and gaining another sea day instead of Guatemala. We never did get a clear answer regarding why Guatemela was dropped, and the email communications from NCL ...

Always wanted to do a cruise through the Panama Canal, from gulf side to Pacific ocean. Lots of ports for excursions. Was a great experience. Spent couple days in New Orleans before boarding ship for cruise. Also spent a couple of days in Seattle before flying home. Checked off three items on our bucket list with this cruise. Over three hundred passengers from Australia. Several ...

I have taken cruises before and I have cruised on several different cruise lines. This was my first repositioning cruise and I hope to answer some of the questions I had about this type of cruise. We chose this trip because of the departure port and the itinerary. New Orleans Embarkation: We live a few hours from New Orleans and took the train down the day before. Our assigned check-in ...

We did this cruise because of the ports of call. Left from new orleans and went to seattle. The ship is very nice and clean, room also very good. The crew was always happy and friendly. Food was better than expected. We missed two ports of call and were not told was not told why, this is one reason we chose this trip was for the ports of call. Smoking was really bad on the ship as they have a ...

We chose this cruise because of the embarkation city, length of cruise, value of cruise and we wanted to go through the canal. The crew on the Pearl were excellent! They were very attentive to our needs and had very positive attitudes. We observed that as they interacted with each other, they were happy and had fun performing their jobs. We believe that these positive attitudes translated over to ...

We sailed on the NCL Dawn to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Costa Maya. The trip was very enjoyable with a few exceptions, The inside stateroom on deck 11 is horrible. At night all we heard was screeching and rolling carts at 3 AM. We finally figured out that we were underneath the Garden Buffet. Don't choose any rooms that are on deck 11 unless you don't want to sleep. The food was good. The ...

Cancun Fast ferry to Cozumel then to the Ship for check in, straight forward s there was only 70 of us getting on board as most board in New Orleans. Note you are not allowed to take any drinks on board as they will be confiscated until the end of the cruise. You have a few hours to go back into Cozumel (best for shopping) before the ship embarks to New Orleans. Cabin we had upgraded to a ...
