Baltic Cruise - Affordable and Average
"Both the MSC shuttle and the City Sightseeing shuttle had “last bus” that left from Little Mermaid statue to go back to the ship 30 minutes before you have to be back on the ship.We sat on the bus nearly 30 minutes to wait for it to fill up before leaving the pier, only to go to the parking lot of the cruise terminal so they could have two employees walk through the bus to sell everyone tickets...."Read More

Enjoyable and affordable cruise with minor complaints

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We had booked a three-day Baltic sea cruise leg from Helsinki to Kiel. This was our first cruise ever (apart from Baltic ferries). Easy drinks package was included in the price and we upgraded it to Easy plus. We enjoyed the cruise experience immensely. All inclusive, including the basic drinks package, was great, cause we could stop counting expenses. We enjoyed trying the different options ...

Great Cruise Line - If you like to do it on the cheap!

MSC was chosen by a travel director thru family members. It was only a 4 day cruise. We had fun as a family, but there were too many negatives to go on this line again. We are not that experienced - 2 Norwegian and 1 Carnaval. The ship itself was ok, lots of mirrors for some reason, make it look bigger? Staff works hard to keep place clean and operational. Best part of the operation. ...

I decided to write a review for our MCS Fantasia cruise because I found there to be a lack of information out there on some basic questions and hope this will help fill in gaps for the next family that tries to partake on a cruise like this. Some of this will be review of the MSC cruise itself, and some other information that might help with planning and execution. Background: We took a ...

MSC Fantasia - 7N Norway cruise review

We just got off a 7N Norway cruise on board the MSC Fantasia from Kiel, Germany. Having cruised multiple times with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess, we were unsure about how we would like MSC, especially an older ship of theirs. We travelled as part of a pretty big group. We had 5 balcony cabins between the 10 adults and 1 infant and fortunately we were all close to one another. We ...

Chaos. Poor communication.

It seems I’ve sailed on two cruises with MSC: my first and my last. Problems: 1. Poor communication. Boarding tenders was not announced. No warning of 7:30 lineup. It resulted in a huge missed prepaid reservation. By the time we were shuttles to the harbor, there were only a few hours available. Worst cruise experience ever. 2. Cancelled Olden port. Clearly, MSC had no plans to visit ...

Best MSC Cruise So Far

This was my 2nd cruise with MSC and my first in Europe. It was a nice experience. The MSC Fantasia is a nice ship and the crew couldn't have been nicer. We had a better service experience than we did on our first cruise in the Bahamas. The food was decent in the main dining room and the buffet food was quite good. We had a drinks package included with our cruise fare, which included ...

The cruise was an RACQ promo, the ports were fine and most of the stall helpfull, Boarding the high pressure selling package began- water , coffee, wine, meal upgrades. This was a combined cruise - 28 days, but dishing up the same menu and show(which , was not high class, only lasted about an hour) every week -NOT GOOD. (my wife is gluten free, but getting chicken every meal gets boreing)The ...

Sometimes we waited a lot in the bars to be catered for by lack of waiters It was difficult to eat at the buffet for the amount of passengers and many days, after a long day of excursion, we had to eat outside the restaurant, sitting on a sunbed because it was impossible to find a free table. The gym was small for the amount of people we were going to. The stateroom service, very good, ...

Great Baltic Sea Cruise

We just came back from 7 night Baltic Sea cruise on MSC Fantasia. It was our 4th cruise. MSC Fantasia has a low score on this site. This is really unfair. MSC is a little different from other cruise line, mostly is the drinking package. Other than that, it is a great ship and great cruise. Our group has 11 people, 3 families. 7 adults, 4 kids age are 5, 11, 12, and 15. We all had balcony ...

Fjords are a great place for vacation and doing it with a cruise is an excellent solution instead of a car or bus trip. This was our first experience of an MSC ship. The MSC FANTASIA is not a new ship but it is in an excellent condition and very beautiful decorated Great food, great service, nice balcony cabin, a lot of attractions and activities. The main issue because of I gave 4 instead 5 ...
