"ordering "a twist of Lemon no olives, resulted in getting both, or ingredients poured in a shaker and giving only one shake or simply pouring drink directly in a martini glass and stirring.Yes, all problems were minor things but when combined with all other things, no robes in cabin, hustling of "pull tabs" like the local VFW, water not included in drink package, all leads us to believe they have slipped to Carnival standards...."Read More

Not impressed with Bliss

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

This was my first time on a Mega Ship. I was not impressed. All the food came out cold and had to be sent back many times ( Including MDR, Specialty, and even Haven). I prefer the smaller ships of NCL ( I am Sapphire on NCL, so I know what to expect). The entertainment venues are very closed off and behind doors. You will not stroll the walkways trying to find a bar to sit at and listen to a ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

We were offered this cruise from Miami thru the Canal to LA at a decent price due to cancellations incurred during the Pandemic. First off this will be our last cruise on a "Mega" ship. Just far too many people with far too few staff. Cabins are now cleaned only once a day, drink and food service in all dining rooms were lengthy. Waits exceed 20 minutes to simply get a glass of wine, and coffee ...

This was my second cruise with Norwegian and probably my last. I let Norwegian book my flights to Fort Lauderdale and back home, big mistake, I will never let a cruise line book my flights again. I was booked on the first flight leaving for Florida that day and it got cancelled. Booked a later flight and the departure time got changed over a dozen times. This airline does not have a good ...

The Good and the Bad

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

The Good The Bliss is a beautiful ship. All the onboard staff were friendly and helpful. The adult pool is heated to a comfortable water temperature. I went down the waterslide with a raft and it was the smoothest ride I have been on. Don't go on a crowded day because there is about 3 minutes between each rider. So 20 people in line means an hour wait. The rafts are brought up mechanically so ...

We have sailed with Norwegian about 7 seven times. Our most recent cruise on the Norwegian Bliss which left Miami on 12/17 and returned on 12/24. Our first stop was Roatan, Honduras. I know that NCL cannot control the actions of those living in Honduras but the people inside the port area were very aggressive. They were short of touching us, approached us asking many questions, leading us to ...

Good but not our best cruise

It went through the "new panama canal". It was amazing to see and enjoy the passage. Other parts were not so amazing. The casino was the poorest we have ever seen at sea with very tight slots. Bingo was a joke they did not do a roll over and a last game grand prize winner. the real winner was norwegian. In place of over $5000 the final coverall got $1000,not bad, but not was ...

Pro: Entertainment is great. Best shows anywhere. Helpful staff. Observation lounge is perfect place to relax. Lots to do throughout the day and night. Taste Restaurant is the best for a quiet dinner. Waterfront promenade deck has great sitting space with comfy chairs and sofas. Also has two outdoor bars. Con: Ship creaks a lot. Deck 9 right over noisy deck 8-avoid ...

Norwegian Bliss a Mix of Good and Bad

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

User Avatar

The Bliss is a newer ship, but the layout is not very efficient. The elevators take forever, especially going to and from Deck 16 where the buffet and pools are. Guest Services and the Shore Excursion Desk are located in the same area where bands play and where games are played, making it impossible to hear anything. The photo folks set up camp in the middle of aisles and staircases, making for ...

I chose this cruise because of the Race track and lazer tag activities. However I found that the mini go Kart racing was harder than it looked...so i flunked racing...smile The ship was amazing very beautiful, the food was excellent...The entertainment was very good, service was very good. Balcony rooms very small going to the pool area was a disaster chairs so close you couldn't move ...
